Regardless of whether TA works or not. The more oversold on the RSI the more likely we go back up. Right now the 14 day is not close and the 7 day is just on the borderline. The 100 day MA is just at 142 or so. So no reason to panic unless your buying short term calls. I don't have a *clue* as to whether TA works or not. In fact, most of the time I have to look up various stock-related terms I read on AFB(like RSI, for example). I have no doubt I would fail a simple multiple choice exam on stock-related definitions. And for those familiar with the term RSI, but unfamiliar with the *calculation* of RSI, as I was, here’s the sequence of operations to *calculate* it: And here’s yet another way to calculate RSI: www.macroption.com/rsi-calculation/I remain happily ignorant of the many other methods that folks use to try to anticipate the movement of AAPL...or of any stock, for that matter. But what's worked really well for my wife and myself, over the last 20+ years, are these 5 guidelines: 1. Ignore the analysts who are negative about Apple's future. 2. Don't sell any AAPL shares because of market panic about Apple's future. 3. Don't sell any AAPL shares just because Carl Icahn sold *all* of his AAPL shares back in 2016 or because Warren Buffett sold *some* AAPL shares in 2020. 4. Don't sell any AAPL shares unless you're *required* to do so because of your yearly RMD. 5. Don't sell any AAPL shares. Five simple steps...and yet they've been very effective for us for a *very* long time. In the coming years, will they continue to be effective in increasing the value of our portfolio? I really can't/don't know for sure...but as long as I continue to be confident in Apple Inc., I will continue to be confident that our money is invested in the correct stock for us. YMMV

Looks like this was only with the automatic update program, using the Apple Card. We just purchased our normally, though I decided not to use the Apple Card for it. 3% would be nice, but our main card gives 1% plus doubles the warranty. I figured a difference in cashback of around $20 was worth giving up in order to have a second year warranty. It's similar to choosing to buy through Costco, when possible. There, with the Costco card, we'd get a 4 year warranty instead of just 1 year. I don't think I've had any Apple products we have owned die of warranty-able problems, but I've helped a few friends with ones (like video chip issues on one or two MacBooks, and a power circuit on a MacBook Pro) that I feel a minimal net cost is worth some added protection for the "just in case".

Really like what you said Luckychoices !
In the early 90's I bought some AAPL, and have held on all the way. Spent a lot of $ from AAPL along the way, but like many of you, still way ahead.
By the way, I also bought Caterpillar, and held on. It did OK, but nothing like our friend AAPL.

Hello old AFB friends, hope everyone is well. Some link spam for your evening: 1) Yes the A15 Bionic SoC in Apple's iPhone 13-series is faster than the A14 (and as of now there's WAY too many GB5 results in the Geekbench Browser to ignore) aapltree.wordpress.com/2021/09/16/yes-a15-bionic-is-probably-faster-than-a14-wherein-i-read-way-too-much-into-mysterious-unverified-geekbench-5-iphone-13-benchmarks-but-hey-why-the-heck-not/2) Sort of building on that, isn't it weird how tech journopundits have selective amnesia or ignorance about things like Apple comparing their A-chips to the competition (happened last year), or immediately thinking iPad mini 5G is "the slow version" despite the enormous backdrop slide showing it supports 5G at around the same speed as the iPhone 12 lineup? aapltree.wordpress.com/2021/09/18/apple-fall-2021-event-tech-coverage-by-omission-the-difference-between-healthy-apple-skepticism-and-uh-were-you-actually-paying-attention/All right I'll bring it back to AAPL finance. I mean, I'm no expert but seems Apple will survive the winter, based on the pre-order reception to the iPhone 13 + iPad mini 5G lineup. For medium-term reference...why did Apple deliberately bring the iPhone 13 cadence back to "end of September", when consumers would have been fine waiting until October/November, perhaps even later? Should we pay a little extra attention to what "boosting" a FQ4 2021 that didn't need *any help at all* might do in terms of the FY22 compare? And if those rumors about 3-nanometer lithography being delayed are true (I have to listen to TSMC conference calls for myself), what's that mean for the presumptive "A16 Bionic" in the "iPhone 14" lineup? No one should ever, ever pay attention to what I type, but I don't think Apple deliberately "shortens" the iPhone 13 release cycle if it sees the A16 + 3nm process delay roaring towards them like a friggin' oncoming freight train. In other words, there's no reason to believe Apple will suddenly delay iPhone 14 to Winter 2022 or even later.
