We used CarPlay for a bit on this trip. My version of Ford's Sync software only allows Apple CarPlay to be used when plugged in by a cable, but that worked fine since we were often trying to recharge the devices. It did ok. One key benefit was listing a shorter drive time than the Ford GPS system. I don't know if this was from using a different route, updated speed limits (Ford GPS maps are from 5 years ago), or different assumptions on driving speed and expected stops. But with 9-10 hours of driving from outside of Vegas, and being 2pm already, we didn't chance it. It looked more cartoony than the built in Sync software. But the main thing that bugged me was not seeing the outside temperature. Ford puts this on most of their screens, but it's missing from the CarPlay screens. Maybe there's a setting somewhere, but even being out in the middle of nowhere (passing the Area 51 cafe), there was enough activity on the road between deer/elk, burros, and a guy passing us whose trailer was missing a tire. We're not really a fan of putting all of the info in one space, which then has interferences. My wife getting bugged enough that, backing out of the driveway for a few seconds, the backup camera takes over so you can't adjust the radio. At least the heat, heated seat, and seat controllers are separate.

Yucky day, terrible close. Apparently some negative FUD came out about supply chain production whatever.

Just a question if we’ll see 135 or 145 first. Yesterday it seemed like 145+ was coming. Today, not so much.

I've always been an AAPL long, so I'll be satisfied at 135 or 145.
When I'm buying, I usually aim between the 100 day & the 200 day moving averages.
The current 100 day is 141.73 and the 200 day is 135.44, so I wouldn't be surprised if we see 135 for a bit due to the current FUD.
My question would be, will AAPL likely see $200 before we see $100? I believe $200 is much more likely, so I'm currently adding shares below $142.

I believe $200 is much more likely, so I'm currently adding shares below $142. With earnings just over 2 weeks away, on the 28th, if feeling punchy this might be time for some short term options. I picked up a good sized chunk of stock to cover half my Jan 135 calls 2 weeks ago. It's not the right move if trying to diversify, but I might just have to pick up the other half if AAPL dips below 136.5 or so. OTOH, a nice mid-term bull call spread could be kinda fun. It's just probabilities vs current odds, with ATM spreads normally having a 100% gain potential. Nothing is a given, but my guess is that on the consumer side Apple is doing well, and it seems likely that Apple will do ok on the supplier side too, but will pivot if needed. We'll know a lot more at earnings, if reading between the lines. But for those looking to take on some risk, the payoff might be worthwhile if the stock dips towards that 200 DMA.
