all-time closing high, huh? Great. Happy Thxgiving to my old friends at AFB. If by some miracle the Thxgiving food doesn't give you a post-feasting nap attack, this surely will (or maybe invoke visions of Apple Silicon iMac 5Ks and iMac Pros dancing in your heads #whoopswrongseason) apple.news/AblX84nZAQo24AdPoKw0IwA

My Apple Card has been scammed, hijacked whatever the term 3 times in 3 years. This is unprecedented. I easily had them challenged but this last time after my card # was changed Goldman has ruled against me for a $396 purchase I didn’t make from a merchant I never heard of. I chatted with Apple to no avail.
To make matters oddly worst another transaction from the same merchant for $226 was declined 3 days later. Each time I never received a notification of the purchase.
And 2 other purchases are still in dispute from another merchant during the same days and again I didn’t receive notification.
During those days I wiped my Apple Watch 4 and activated my new watch 7 and sold my watch 4
End rant.

Hey Macaster, This sounds very odd, how did they get your actual Card Number as it does not appear on the card and when you use the physical card all the merchant gets is a one time code validating the transaction. Perhaps another go round with or GS is called for on this point alone. Sounds like it may have been some kind of internal breech for that info to be available. Bloody frustrating.

They managed to get my Card a couple of years at this time. Apple and GS were very responsive. Not only did they get my Apple account, but they managed to get my phone transferred to their number so they could do two factor verification. It was scary, the Beagle Boys were IN the money room. Fortunately Apple was able to stop any further shenanigans. I didn't lose a nickel, but I did cancel my Apple Card, which I miss.
Since they were using an iPhone, I could give the police the numbers they needed to track these guys. They were in L.A. I called and gave someone the info, but nothing came of it. I thought about facetiming the jerks, but there is always escalation to be thinking about.
I'm sorry you have to go through this, especially three times.

On this Thanksgiving day I went back to Apple chat to again question the charge and asked who or what this merchant called Transformation, some Health outfit, they gave me a number to call to further question the GS decision against me. But since I’m hearing impaired I haven’t attempted it yet.
I’m not someone that uses my credit cards irresponsibly at questionable online merchants and am not knocking the Apple Card, is has been kind of a disruptive credit card to the industry and very convenient to use.

Ok. Went back to Apple and got a good Apple rep that finally made sense of it all…to me. After I questioned the charge I didn’t realize or see that the merchant actually credited me that charge while GS also gave me temporary credit while the dispute was being investigated. So I not only got credit from the merchant I got credit from GS. I didn’t know this, never happened that way before.
But the other day GS sent me this email and I saw the charge in my account
Goldman Sachs Bank USA has investigated your transaction dispute, and it's *****not resolved in your favor***** for the following reason:
(I didn’t understand or see this)->. Merchant provided the credit
As a result, the temporary credit of $394.00, which was applied to your account while your dispute was being investigated will be reversed, and will appear as a transaction in the Wallet app and on your next monthly statement. We will add this amount to your account balance, and you can pay it the same way as your other transactions. We've also waived any interest that may have been added to the disputed transaction before you submitted it.
You have the right to see the information we gathered to make this decision. To request a copy, please contact an Apple Card Specialist at Goldman Sachs Bank USA by chat or phone.

All other disputes I’ve had over many years I never have been more confused and I apologize for bringing this up here on the board. I was wrong. My gray matter, as sometimes happens as you forget the score during your service game for example Tennis, then getting sidetracked by shenanigans, laughs or chat…..leaving the four of of us trying to figure out the score… is it 30/40 or 40/30?
It’s all good now.
Except how was my card number exposed.

Macster - Just in case you were unaware you can go into Card settings in the Wallet (three dots top right hand corner) go into Card Information and there is an option to replace a card number if you feel your current one is compromised.
