Well hello again $180.

Sideways consolidation is pretty much the best that longs could hope for after the run to 180.
Hope tax related decisions don’t knock the stock down after Jan 1 - some holders may have been waiting to sell to delay cap gains.

Enough already...
I now realize that it's okay when JD gets political on the daily thread. It's not disrespectful to the forum, despite that seemingly everyone else here can control themselves and abide by the rules. Our mods can keep looking the other way because he only does it occasionally, and he's funny and clever. We all know that he's a maverick, that he goes rogue, that he's entitled to his free speech. Taking some well deserved jabs at the Dems is fine, while disregarding that the other party in America currently engages in the politics of fear, hate and division, that only one side actively embraces lying, misinformation, culture wars and Goebbels' playbook on mass manipulation, or that this other party now rejects the founding principles of our democratic republic in its rapid descent into authoritarianism and minority rule.
Hey, as long as his commentary makes some people here happy and pisses others off, then it's all totally justified. Let's go, JD!

As CNBC reported, selling due to uncertain tax policies by the current members of government can potentially affect our stock's price this week. Just because its an inconvenient truth doesn't make it not relevant. But as an allegedly clever poster, I defer to you in your deft prose, totally devoid of politics.

I realize the JD has strong views and a gift for expressing them. But I also realize that they are just his opinions and i do not feel threatened by them. Whenever I think he might be on to something, I remind myself of his views about COVID and mask wearing in March of 2020. He was entertaining then and remains so. Keep posting J.D.

Yeah every toxic troll on the internet is just expressing their "opinion" man. But is that what we want here? Maybe we could strive for something better? Any other moderated forum I've been on would not tolerate the outbursts of racists, sexists, political bomb throwers, assorted Incel saddos, etc - no matter their very limited entertainment value. It would be nice if we had members who could control themselves, but failing that I'm happy to see some active moderation. Btw, it's New Year's Eve in New Zealand, so let me be the first to wish you a very (preferably GREEN) Apple in 2022!

It's amazing. All the other tracking devices, every single one of them, have no mitigation method for someone to see if a nefarious person is tracking them. Apple, on the other hand, does provide a method for the target to see if they are being surreptitiously tracked. And who does the media target? Apple, of course.

Thanks, and yeah, thank god for those masks that solved Covid. If we hadn't all worn masks, we would have had more deaths in 2021 than we did in 2020! Oh, wait...
Now public health experts telling us, just kidding, cloth masks don't do $#!t, gotta upgrade to N95.
Of course, Dr Sciencey Fauci said we didn't need masks, before we did...

This libtard (to use one of your favorite words) social distanced and wore a mask and didn't raise a childish tantrum ... and I have not gotten Covid. The precautions worked. Meanwhile, almost every person in the hospital with Covid now across America failed to take the vaccine. Fauci is a hero.

4aapl must be still digging out of record snowfalls or he’s enjoying powder days and perfectly groomed corduroy which is actually more important than moderating. Else he would be appalled what transpired because someone got triggered over a comment about tax policy, that effects aapl shareholders, by the current controlling wonders in DC.
Now if I can propose a toast with my cheap Bourbon on ice Happy New Year! I may as a ancient former PBS Financial Program host used to say…Wishing you the best of good buys’. As for me I’m still all in

Of course, Dr Sciencey Fauci said we didn't need masks, before we did... More non-AAPL, divisive, political bullshit from JD.Bud777, I don't think anybody feels "threatened" by JD's views - I certainly don't. It's just not cool to have him spewing his political crap on the daily thread when we've all agreed not to. Doesn't seem like a tricky concept. I guess I'll just start writing my own personal views on here every day to balance things out. Happy New Year, everybody!

That’s spreading political BS. Tax policy effects us all as shareholders, that’s my take on JD’s original post. We need stable tax policy out of Washington, we don’t really know now what to expect sinse the latest tax proposals are up in the air. It makes decision making more difficult. You originally appear to have started it. But I’m not mad, I’m glad I didn’t get involved or break the unwritten rules.

As I wrote to JD in reply, once someone opens the door to politics, I think it's then fair game to reply in kind. Otherwise, what, only JD gets to make his comments? My point though is that the only person opening that door these days is JD. Politics should be kept to the dungeon - even when it might relate to AAPL. BTW, I started nothing, only responded to JD's Wednesday comment: "Dems are finding it's very hard to change tax law - or any laws - when you don't have an electoral mandate. Effectively tied Senate and like a 6 seat majority in the House. Adding to the gridlock is the nakedly hypocritical attempt by rich blue staters to repeal the SALT tax cap. Can't make this $#!t up."
