And something else to consider is that the report may be true. After all the products are likely coming out of China. I wonder how many times I would have sold AAPL over the last 22 years if I had sold AAPL every time a negative report came out that *might* have been true? My guess? A lot. I regret every single sale of Apple shares I've ever made. In fact I regret 75+% of all stock sales I've ever made. So I generally plan to not sell anything anymore. I lost a LOT more by selling UNH at $50 for a quick double than by holding on to TDFX until zero. In order to satisfy my need to "play", I use options instead.

I just bought one whole LEAP, a 115, Jun 25 call as an act of defiance! I noticed AAPL has bounced off this RSI low zone around 37 for the last three years, so I think I'll survive. AAPL RSINice to see that the Jun '25s are out today. I usually wait a few days/weeks for them to settle in with some volume before trading them. Looks like you were satisfied with 16.40 for your option. 😊

In the last 22 years have you ever seen the world in such a volatile mess? In the 2008 crash the Fed lowered interest rates and started QE. Today they are doing just the opposite and we are getting the expected result. This past Christmas quarter Apple would have preformed quit well had it not been the ridiculous supply restraints that they had to manage. The demand was there. And we may find that Apple was able to supply enough product to satisfy a larger part of the demand then the market is predicting. We’ll find out in a few weeks. But for now many are running for safety. How many are running for safety and how many are continuing to trying to make money from AAPL investors by piling on by way of more potential bad news for Apple...something like "a single unnamed source and a news outlet with a history of late-in-the-quarter Apple bashing"? I continue to believe that I can hold AAPL longer than the market can remain irrational. META's up 4.24% at this moment...based on what exactly? Great news for META? Is it because of this report, released by the WSJ today? Google and Meta’s Advertising Dominance Fades as TikTok, Streamers EmergeFor the first time in nearly a decade, Google and Meta—the two largest players in online advertising—are no longer taking in the majority of U.S. digital-ad dollars.
Bad news for GOOG and META, right? I'm sure that report will make META investors run for safety. /s Just guessing here, but it could be people running from AAPL to something that has little or no exposure to China? I really do hope that the market is looking for capitulation and that it is close to finding it and AAPL can start the long slow climb back to something more sensible. Maybe this upcoming earnings report will be the catalyst.

Precisely my concern too. It is hard to avoid thinking about China when it comes to Apple. This issue hovers over the stock. I'm sorry...I didn't make myself clear. I replied, "Yes, it could be."...because who knows what reasons someone might have for selling AAPL? Could it be people wanting to "move to something more secure and less volatile"...like a CD? Could it be people who disagree with Tim Cook's management style or think he's "talking out of both sides of his mouth". Could it be people who believe Tim Cook doesn't feel "free speech is a fundamental human right"? Could it be "people running from AAPL to something that has little or no exposure to China"? Who knows? So my response was "Yes, it could be."...because it could be *any* of those things. But almost every time I check to see where something is made, I find it was "Made In China". Sometimes the item is so inexpensive one wonders why it couldn't be inexpensively made in this country. So, I don't lose sleep over where the majority of Apple Products are made and blame Tim Cook. I look at what Tim Cook has done for Apple and its shareholders since he became C.E.O. and I'm appreciative. If I wasn't, I'd likely sell my AAPL shares and "move to something more secure and less volatile"...like a CD.
