Yes, it’s Friday. And this morning’s pre-market is red at -0.32% at this moment. So how will this week end?
I’ve seen plenty of news stories this week about the housing market and how it’s been crashing. So there will be some more data released today which will likely be bad. So how will the overall market react to this news?

AppleWorld.Today has APPLE WANTS USERS OF MACS, IPHONES, IPADS TO BE ABLE TO EASILY INTERACT WITH 3D ENVIRONMENTS. Just reading the patent summary makes my head hurt. I first started working with 3D models in the early 80’s while working in the OS group at the CAD/CAM pioneer Computervision. The math guys were well equipped for the switch from 2D to 3D, but the hardware wasn’t there yet as far as rendering speed, so the work-arounds were still a bit clumsy, and that was just for modeling, never mind 3D “spaces.”

American Express really surged on good EPS. This means either the market itself has turned, usually a good Jan means a good year, or the good performers will be rewarded until the next avalanche down. There are lots of these hedge funders rooting for another decline, don't kid your self.

I’ve seen plenty of news stories this week about the housing market and how it’s been crashing. So there will be some more data released today which will likely be bad. So how will the overall market react to this news? It's funny how a "crash" means different things with different areas, and sometimes even different companies. With Crypto, you're talking 50%+. With Stocks, it's 20 or even 30%. With Dow companies, 20% is big. With Tesla, 50+%? (nice rise on Tesla, around 100% off the low). But housing? I've looked around, seeing this "it's crashing" wording. And it's off 8%. (Even in 2008, many places only were down 30%) Nice to see AAPL getting some green. It's pretty close to 20% off the low. Still nowhere near the 170-180's. But nice to not be skimming the bottom, seeing if it will go lower. It's not necessarily that the bottom is in. But there's some wiggle room. (Edit: up just over $8, WoW. That really is a Wow!)

Wouldn't this be the time to shut things down and up to the next wave of technology? It takes money, but also downtime.
But not being an outsourcing fab, it's a little less cut and dry. If Intel wants to make the jump, I wouldn't be surprised if someone were happy to have some of their chips made state side, with another vendor.
Intel always has ups and downs, over the decades.
