Good morning and it’s Friday. We’re ending this week with a red pre-market at -0.27% at this moment. How will this weeks trading end.

Have any other AFB’ers recently received an email from AOL announcing a new AOL email app?
Up until now the main MacOS email “app” has been stored with all of the email provider “sub-apps”, along with the main Apple Mail App, inside of the Mail folder that appears on the desktop. The message from AOL seemed to imply that the sub-app would be taking over at least some functions that have previously been handled by the MacOS mail app, and may very well be intended to be a stand alone app. My guess has been that it would provide a new AOL-specific user interface. I have looked around a bit, but so far have have not found anything that clarifies why and how the change has been made.
Since the old interface still seems to be working, I guess I’ll search around for more information for a while, and then make a trip to the Apple Store. If you have already figured this out and can point me in the proper direction, I would greatly appreciate it.

"MacWorld has Forget iPhone 15 buttons, the whole Apple rumor mill needs to hit the reset button. Yeah, good luck with that." I REALLY LIKED THE HOME Button so called. Especially on my iPad. I don't find swiping to be either aesthetic or time saving. Seems a waste of time and ridiculous.
Bring back buttons!

I'm not seeing huge open interest on AAPL options this week. The peak on calls is around 167.5, whereas on puts it's more like 162. The daily volume on the stock is low too, only at half the average with about an hour and a half to go. It does look like some are playing the out-of-money calls and puts. Currently a 162.5 put for today is only selling for a penny, but it says it opened for 13 cents. Even at a penny, someone might be taking the tiny risk, while someone else is buying a tiny lottery ticket. Some of it would just be people closing out positions before expiration. But looking at the pricing, a lot of it was at 4 or 5 cents, so say taking in $5k with the risk of having to buy 100k of shares at 162.5 if the stock dives. That's a hefty backing, but it looks like someone is finding it worthwhile, for both sides of the trade. finance.yahoo.com/quote/AAPL230414P00162500?p=AAPL230414P00162500

Regional banks are mostly down today. Could be event risk selling. Maybe the market is normalizing. BRK chart looks strong good way to hold apple and diversify at the same time? Peg at 165 looks certain. On to next week!

We didn't close green for the day, but we did at least close green for the week. After the first three days, I didn't expect that we would close green for the week.
