Where the hell is the excitement here today?
There should be a lot of it. We’re going to $200+, it’s a given. And maybe a lot sooner than later.
I’ve been in this thing for almost 25 years; it takes a lot for me to be excited after all of that, but it can still happen. Like now.
Vision Pro: hugely exciting. I’m buying on the first day (although hopefully I’ll have had a developer unit instead). This is a major reason for me to stay “in”. Supply chain problems eased. New devices coming in the fall. M3 on the horizon. Something something about a car something still in the something future maybe something (this part not baked in to the price at all). New and super-hyped Google foldable crap devices breaking on their own after 4 days as if anyone cares or that matters, but still. Continued Android gradual migration to iPhone. Macs continue to “kill it” with M series and the 15” Air is “perfect” for nearly everyone (but not for me).
I know I’m missing a few things.
But feeling faintly positive. 🙂

AAPL ALL TIME HIGH INTRADAY! $19X.XX
We’re going to put that leading “19” in the rear view mirror soon enough.

An because we always need a contrarian, UBS Remains a Hold on Apple (AAPL)It also looks like AAPL will blow through that analyst consensus of $191.96 today. We should see a few price target upgrades on Monday, giving yet another bump up.

I don’t trade but have been telling everyone for months now, that an ATH was coming this summer, as well as $200. I am 21 years in, and after that length of time and many cycles, I recognize the signs. Exciting times indeed.

History seems to say that we should all buy at least one (1) Vision Pro which is “not to be opened until Christmas (2040)” and then, that Christmas, see what we can auction it off for. (Going by history, that would be a $500K profit).

(Going by history, that would be a $500K profit). There is an inherent problem with this kind of thing. If 3 or 5 or 10 people do it, then someday they perhaps will be able to sell their collectible for a very large sum of money. But if "we [] all" do it, then we will only be able to sell it for a much lesser amount if we can sell it at all. In these days of rampant social media, "everyone" hears the stories about the guy that sold the first iPhone in an unopened package for $373,400 to a collector. And some percentage of "everyone" says "that'll be me for the next blockbuster product".

It may be wiser to not buy a Vision Pro (not that it's available today), but instead take that money and spend it on apple shares today and by the time the Vision Pro hits the stores then you should be able to buy two Vision Pros.

I think Apple should allow us to take part of our dividends in Vision Pros.

On days like this, it’s fun to take the price and multiply by 28.

I heard often complains about Apple's products being too expensive. I always told them: "Buy APPL shares then you can easily afford them"

From a comment over at PED:
M V said: Apple’s free cash flow (FCF) in FY 2022 was $111.44 Billion. It has grown FCF at a greater than 20% compound annual growth rate (CAGR) from 2019. If it grows FCF by a 10% CAGR over the next decade, it will have $220 billion in annual cash flow by 2030, and the sum of its FCF over 10 years will be $1.95 Trillion... The numbers are unimaginable, borderline preposterous, not unlike the idea of a company generating more than $2 billion a week in FCF in 2022 but, this is Apple.
Room for some nice dividend payouts.

Car Talk: Look at the integration of Lidar on the roof and compare to Apple's Lexus testers. Look at the list of all the sensors and Nvidia processors, and compare to Apple Vision Pro. Nio's web page looks more like an Apple.com page than, say, Ford.com www.nio.com/es6and www.nio.com/es8Expand the feature tabs as you scroll. I would love to see what Apple, with Ive's influence, can deliver in 2026! A 10 year old image of Apple's Lexus test car. I want to see a photoshop version with two Apple Vision Pros mounted on that tower. 😁

youtu.be/IpyJ4rzUuxgApple will remain a buy over the next 3-5 years because of earnings power, says Oppenheimer's Yang "APPLE'S EARNINGS POWER AND HOW THE POWER CAN GROW CONSISTENTLY EVEN LET'S SAY THREE TO FIVE YEARS, I THINK THIS STILL REMAINS A BUY. THE CALCULATIONS THAT, YOU KNOW, YOU FACTOR IN PRICE INCREASE, BUYBACK, AND NEW PRODUCTS, SERVICES, HIGH OPERATIVE LEVERAGE FROM A HIGH MARGIN SERVICE REVENUES, PRETTY EASY TO COME UP WITH MAYBE A VERY SUSTAINED 15 TO 20% EARNINGS GROWTH IN THE LONGER TERM I THINK THAT JUSTIFIES A BUY.

Damn when I watched Steve's famous iPhone presentation, he showed all these cool things that you can do like scroll through albums, double tap to go wide screen, etc.. I can't do these things. He had a flare for elegance and refinement in software and hardware that will never be equalled. I want that original iPhone!

On days like this, it’s fun to take the price and multiply by 28. And for the opposite of fun, look at your old records to see any sales of Apple shares. 😂 For example, on 10/10/2008, I sold 100 shares at $94.01 (I had bought those shares on 10/8/2008 at 90.27). Had I kept those shares, there would now be 2800 of them and they'd be worth over half a million at current prices. Now to be fair, back then, I sometimes traded the stock, bought, sold, sometimes over a few months, sometimes over a few days. Today, I buy shares and I pretty much keep them. Nowadays, it is very very rare that I sell any shares outright. My last sale of shares was in 2020, and my last buy was on 12/22/22 at 130.88. Instead, when I want to "play", I use options.
