There is a Financial Times article that is claiming Apple has cut back production of the VisionPro due to parts availability. They're now saying Apple will only produce 150,000.
At that particular number Apple will sell half a billion dollars worth of the first run of the Vision Pro.

PED has What Apple learned from Google Glass. This is a reminder that post-production planning is an important part of launching a new product. AppleWorld.Today has SOME FUND MANAGERS FIND THEY DON’T OWN ENOUGH APPLE STOCK. “The company’s weighting in the S&P 500 has swelled to 7.6%, the biggest of any one stock in the history of the benchmark index, according to S&P.” “How much is “enough”?” is a fair question, but my guess is most AFB’ers, other than dedicated traders, took care of this long ago at much better prices.

I'm looking for a reason that Apple dropped today. Do you think people were moving funds from Apple to chase Tesla?

Some might have been selling at the ATH to fund the rest of this year's RMD.

I think that that story also shows how the Vision Pro is driving the stock price with anticipation of its introduction. But today’s action also helped to fill that gap that was in the chart.

There is a Financial Times article that is claiming Apple has cut back production of the VisionPro due to parts availability. They're now saying Apple will only produce 150,000. At that particular number Apple will sell half a billion dollars worth of the first run of the Vision Pro. An article on the stock app from Marketwatch says 400k units. One of the analysts was guessing at 250k just after the announcement. This is the time that rumors love, when there are no real numbers, while also far enough out that no one really knows and things can change at a moments notice. Sure, there will be production limitations even once quality yield is up (the 400k story said there were too many defects). But since we don't have a delivery date, and Apple has the resources to buy more production line machines and space if it came down to it, we just really don't know. Like the analyst, it's best to be conservative in numbers, and then it's all upside if both supply and demand beat expectations.
