Good morning. First of all for today I’m wanting to announce that this Friday, July 21, will be my last day to open and close the Intraday and Week Ending threads. This is a great opportunity for someone to experience this responsibility. I've been asked to share my sources used each morning for anyone wanting to start the thread each morning. I use the "My Stocks" App which provides a market wide news source at the bottom of the main page and for each of the company's you have listed there are news stories for that company when you scroll down the page. I have this app on each of my devices and use it to keep up on the stock prices through the day. . . . . . . . .We are starting this week with a green pre-market at +0.01% at this moment. I remember the rumors of Sony looking to buy Apple. This was in the days before Steve's return.

Dave, thanks for your sustained efforts to have something to read every morning. I’ve appreciated it and the discussions it has often created.

IMO, Erik Wooding is the best AAPL analyst. He took over covering AAPL from Katy Huberty. Honorable mentions: Ives and Munster. ! Morgan Stanley analyst Erik Woodring raised his price target on Apple by $30, to $220 per share, noting that Apple's India business could be worth as much as $40 billion over the next ten years.

I'm hoping she mentored Erik well enough.

BRK is up 4 and AAPL is still outperforming! What a day. Lots of the talking heads are calling for the summer doldrums but no sign of foul weather, sails up and off to the new world. Semiconductor or AI rally in full swing. Interesting time in the stock world.

Looks like a great way to start the week with a +1.73% gain. And a $1.39 gap up at the opening, something to keep an eye on for the future.

We’d all be beggars. Beggars, I say. Relatively speaking.

Good morning. First of all for today I’m wanting to announce that this Friday, July 21, will be my last day to open and close the Intraday and Week Ending threads. This is a great opportunity for someone to experience this responsibility. Thanks for your help in doing this task for a while! We all have the ability to start the daily or weekly thread. Though it would be great if someone else chose to do it consistently, another option I threw out after Since84 stepped away was that people could pick a day of the week. Who wouldn’t want to be in charge of the TGIF party, and with no bar tab. And while Dave and Since84 put in links to articles, there are other options. An Apple thought of the day? The Joy of Tech comic? General market or AAPL thoughts. Options day…maybe best on TGIF too. Or whatever. And it’s good practice to update the thread after close, to put the pricing in the title. Think about it. If on the west coast you could always open it up the night before. Or chose to do the weekend thread. Thanks! (Sorry for any mistakes. On the iPhone, since the fiber feed for internet for half the lake went out. But the cable modem lights just turned green!!!)
