Spiking to 198 because of news that Apple is working on AI?

I wonder if Apple's AI approach will be to use the "Machine Learning" cores on the M series chips? this would allow AI on device, but keep the data private.

I have often wondered if the dynamics of money moving between stocks is not more important than fundamentals or technical factors. For example, assume an investor has large positions in Tesla and Apple. When they expect one to pop, they would move the money into the other in a wack-a-mole kind of attempt to not be in the wrong place at the wrong time. I cannot find much written about this, but It should be apparent by looking for a negative correlation between the closing prices. Today provides a case in point. Tesla started off continuing to build ahead of earnings, then right as it was around 300, Apple announced that hat they were looking hard at integrating GPT. Apple rose, and Tesla declined. I own both, so it didn't bother me, but if this dynamic is in fact real, it certainly is a factor to consider, especially if you are playing options. I am sure both companies will be fine...hopefully at the expense of Google, Microsoft, and Meta

Remember, we are already in the plus zone for the week when compared to the last two weeks. Last Fridays close was $190.69.

I am sure both companies will be fine...hopefully at the expense of Google, Microsoft, and Meta I think that you’re right. The same group of stocks keep competing for the same dollars. I think that there are a lot of dollars sitting on the sidelines that will never return to the stock markets because people have or are about to retire and are fearful of the risk. So, it’s the survival of the fittest (companies), which are those with the lowest risk. Maybe.

I think that there are a lot of dollars sitting on the sidelines that will never return to the stock markets because people have or are about to retire and are fearful of the risk. So, it’s the survival of the fittest (companies), which are those with the lowest risk. Maybe. Well, I think people previously move to cash or bonds, especially towards retirement in the recommended percentile rate for their age, there are articles recently that people aren’t doing that anymore. My parents came out and said there was no reason to put money in bonds. Same thing when we were managing a trusted it had to support someone in her late 70s but be open for the next 50 to 200 and some odd years. I can see people moving between a few different stocks, especially in a texted, managed account. But I don’t know how many are going to cash as a counter to risk reward some portion are, just like some portion are moving in and out of margin, something not generally allowed in retirement accounts. In non-retirement accounts, taxes often are a worry even if they in the very big picture should be. On days like this, I am happy to be over invested in Apple Let’s see how that all did. Used text to speech on the iPhone, after a long day, playing with giant rocks.
