So looks like they expect about 20% higher in 17 months. That's not bad at all for a slow grower. If Vision Pro will be a big blockbuster, and that remains a big if, then it won't happen by Dec '24, so that's not going to be a big contributor by that time. If Vision Pro does indeed become a blockbuster, then it'll show up in '25 a bit, and in '26 a bit more, and in '27 bigtime. It's also important to remember that the competitors are not always a good indication of coming success. Even if we see Samesung invest a ton into VR, and even if we see Meta sink additional billions into it (they've reportedly spent $21B on "Metaverse" already, nobody seems to have any idea of what they have to show for all that money yet), and even if we see others spending billions, that still doesn't mean it'll be a blockbuster. Obviously I'm not yet sold on the idea of wearing a headset for a few hours a day. Certainly not at all like being sold on the idea of carrying a handheld "communicator" with me all day, I was sold on that one long before they existed in real-life (pretty much since Star Trek aired). My gut is feeling a little worried about earnings tomorrow. I will be on a long flight at the time so I probably won't see the call in real-time. But all the India growing middle-class talk is right on schedule. I wonder if there will be any India comments on the conference call? That would be one of the things that'll increase confidence in future earnings. But the market appears to be somewhat skittish in recent days, so there is clearly a possibility of a substantial drop in Apple this earnings week. Sometimes that happens so "they" (us?) can reload at somewhat lower prices for the next big leg up. It's quite possible that we have lower prices for the rest of the summer, and then see rising prices in the fall into the best quarter of the year. I can't think of any surprises coming up, everyone knows USB-C is in (has to be due to Europe), and I suspect that the "monolith" iPhone isn't ready for iPhone 15 (monolith is no buttons, no ports, no nothing, just a solid piece of essentially sealed glass). It may not even be ready for iPhone 16, who knows?

Looks like all the AI and Semis are selling off. After a huge run from Jan and especially since NVDI got them all excited this is the first massive pullback. Only QUIK is up today. Apple will be interesting tomorrow.

Not a bad thing to sell off before earnings. Better than going into earnings at a high.

QORVO MAKES some chips for . is their biggest customer. From their earnings today: "Strategic Highlights Booked multi-million-dollar order for SiC power devices supporting AI servers and other data center applications" ................ "Financial Commentary and Outlook Grant Brown, chief financial officer of Qorvo, said, “Qorvo exceeded the mid-point of our June quarterly guidance for revenue, gross margin and EPS while also continuing to reduce channel inventory. The team is executing very well, working closely with our suppliers and customers while navigating a challenging macro environment. Looking forward, we expect September quarterly revenue to increase sequentially by over 50%, driven primarily by content gains at our largest customer, and we expect year-over-year revenue growth in fiscal 2024.” Qorvo’s current outlook for the September 2023 quarter is: Quarterly revenue of approximately $1 billion, plus or minus $15 million ZOUNDS! ir.qorvo.com/news-releases/news-release-details/qorvor-announces-fiscal-2024-first-quarter-financial-results
