Glad our market is not reacting as expected. Possibly if Israel has had enough they will go into Gaza and close off the tunnels that supply the Hamas. If so and they remove Hamas or Hamas leaves once they see that they are the hunted, this may actually stabilize the political situation in Gaza and be better for the people there if not the religious fanatics. Maybe that is what the market is thinking? I usually read the Jerusalem Post to keep track of events in the middle east that affect the market but they are so busy the site is not loading. It is free so they have lots of readers like me who are reluctant to pay for a newspaper.
Clearly this will have some effect whether or not it is a Black Swan of death for the market remains to be seen. Meanwhile earnings season is on the horizon so that will drive the market soon. I'm still selling TSLA calls. Don't do well selling apple calls.

There are more than a few players who'd love to see it escalate into a larger conflict, and they may yet get their wish. Depressingly, the only sure thing is that many innocent people will die.

I keep hearing Apple is 3 years behind Qualcomm. I think is skating beyond 5g where the puck will be. What do I know, nothing. Just wondering because that is a Steve Jobs motto. "There's an old Wayne Gretzky quote that I love. 'I skate to where the puck is going to be, not where it has been.' And we've always tried to do that at Appl...”
