A second really good week. Let's see if we can keep this going for a while.

I happened across an email to the Yahoo TheAAPLInvestor group from about 11.5 years ago. JMP had just had his 3rd son, and there was discussion guessing at where the stock would be in 18 years.
Yahoo has that next day, Valentine's day of 2011, at a split adjusted close of 12.83, when taking in the 28x difference due to splits. But looking at the dividend adjusted close, it's about a 33x difference, at 10.87
Using that 33x multiplier, Friday's close of $186.40 would be the dividend adjusted and non-split adjusted price of $6151. At less than 12 years in, the price is 75% above where I guessed it might be in another 6.25 years.
Sometimes it is nice to be wrong!

It's not just Tim. Plenty of others are diversifying their production capability away from China as quickly as possible. The more China poses itself as a threat to stability, the more this will happen, and the quicker it will happen. Xi has to make a decision over the next few years, and the way Chinese politics work, if he isn't on the path to the "right" decision (determined by the various power bases in govt there), he will be retired and a new premier installed. It'll be interesting to watch. The odds for "war" are somewhat lower than the odds for "no war" because during/after wars, political power changes are more likely, and the folks in power now obviously usually don't want to take that chance. But there are always those in power that think their power will be increased during/after war, so they work towards war. Hopefully their opponents are powerful enough to stop them.
