This volume is just weird. 15M in the first 30 minutes of trading! Maybe Buffet is shrinking the position a little, or one of the big pensions. It seems like more than just bots trading, but it would be interesting to see if there are any insights out there, somewhere. The stock headed downward and then recovered over a buck, but hard to know if that will be capitulation (nope). With the timeframe and path lately, it probably takes getting a couple bucks into the green to have many people feel things might be over. Sometimes it's frustrating to still have a mix of delayed quotes on Yahoo, when trying to glance at options but not really being interested enough to pull up a brokerage account. Maybe the Fed comments will help the market and AAPL, even though they will most likely be boring and calm. But even if that's not what the market wants, it might be what it needs, as a reassurance that things are still slowly progressing.

I wish that I knew how to track money flow between stocks. I have the feeling that a lot of the speculator money is flowing from APPL and TESLA into NVDA and the AI stocks, but I cannot prove or quantify it. Does anyone have suggetions on how to track this?

You would need access to client accounts. Because when someone sells AAPL, the money exists as cash in the account (even if only briefly) before a buy of NVDA occurs. I wouldn't be surprised if large brokerages (Fidelity, Schwab, etc) have such information for their accounts. Of course, if it's large institutional sellers and buyers, they probably don't use traditional brokers, so the information isn't so readily available (to the brokers). Finally, if a large institution really wants to hide their transactions, they can simply do the sell with one broker and the buy with a different broker (and transfer the cash overnight if necessary).

I would guess that those trading in a particular sector, like tech, will stay in that sector. The market is looking for each company’s AI play and right now Apple doesn’t appear to have one. This is one of the problems with secrecy, that Apple excels at, because it leaves everyone guessing. For goodness sake’s Tim, just throw Mr. Market a bone to chew on.

Just a little something to watch and think about while we watch the paint dry. My Top Three Stocks to Get RichAbout 15 minutes long. Crowdstrike (CRWD) and WisdomTree Cybersecurity Fund (WCBR) are two.

Down just 1 dollar for the day feels almost like a win. (just kidding!) This afternoon I asked myself if I would buy AAPL where it is now and the answer was yes. So I took some profits in ASML and bought AAPL.

Do any other forum members subscribe to Horace Dediu's Asymetric podcast? I don't have a paid subscription, but I did just listen to Horace being interviewed on the Ride-On podcast, out today. Great episode-- talks about the Apple Car, Apple's AI fortunes (must-listen, imo), and other Mobility projects and services that Apple may (or may not) still be developing. podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/micromobility/id1434457337?i=1000648259960
