Tuesday morning ... here we are up a bit in PM ... wondering if 12/12 brings any type of announcement from CM on pre-orders ... We'll know soon enough. Latest story with CM and AAPL this morning:
The latest twist comes via Lorraine Luk in Monday's Wall Street Journal. Having denied reports last week in both the Journal and Fortune.com that the two companies had finally signed a distribution deal, the carrier changed its tune.
"A phone call to a China Mobile customer representative," the Journal reported Monday, "confirmed that customers can preorder iPhones from the site starting Thursday."

The PM players seen to think we're going to drop at least double the general market trend today. Exciting times for AAPL IMO.

I have to say, CM is doing a pretty good job at keeping this under wraps, if there really is something happening this/next week, that is.
There have been only two (arguably vague) leaks so far. 1) That iPhone pre-order web page that appeared a week ago on one of their subsidiary's site (which was taken down the next day). 2) The Journal reporting "A phone call to a China Mobile customer representative confirmed that customers can preorder iPhones from the site starting Thursday." If this were true, I'm sure a hundred other news sites would have called to reconfirm.
I'm not saying that nothing's happening (I soo want it to) but considering the size of CM and its wide network, I would have expected more leaks by now.

It wasn't just reporting, it was a screen grab. Read the post.
And the WSJ saying "it's a deal" 2x isn't at least due to a leak?

I think the announcement will be part of a signing ceremony between Apple and CM. Jaguar recently had a signing ceremony to distribute their vehicles in China. $ value of apple/ china mobile deal is bigger.

My point is that there's way more information that comes out of the east about Apple stuff than what's coming out about the CM launch. Well, the day after tomorrow shall/should bring cheer. Until then, 565 seems like our hangout spot.

If can break above $568, possibility of going above $575 by Friday or next week is high.

The website is still live, one can still arrange their appointment to reserve a iPhone on China mobile subsidiary right here: iphone.139life.com
