2-3 trading days of sideways-ish/in the parallel channel would be fine. Upper BB hinting at consolidation anyway. Hopefully NOT "top".

Note similarities between black-boxed areas. Final extensions of mature upwaves -- blow-off tops -- were almost entirely retraced. (Parabolic up usually leads to parabolic down.) AAPL DAILY CHART:

Are you saying AAPL's current uptrend was parabolic? Well, according to that fractal, AAPL gets to 575 maybe if you go by the next fractal, retrace to 275. OK, I'm being sarcastic.

We now know or strongly suspect. In retrospect. This is "good mood" Mav btw.

Blow-off top up wave implies something kinda bad though. Am I missing something?
Retracing 100%+ with an extension is some cause for concern, is it not?
Add in stuff like Fib extension retrace levels and I'll just stick to the basics, thanks very much...

When momentum's waning, and some retrace would surprise no one; but instead, this big not-second-but-third-or-forth wind comes out of nowhere. The last leg of the upwave went from 453.65 to 513.74. We've retraced about 78.6% of it.

I'm kinda counting iCahn as his own upwave. That was from 475ish.

Hate the gap trading, wouldn't mind AAPL making it back into a descending channel type situation.

Gaps make me crazy, but I'm trying (!) to get over it. With mixed success. ;D

MACD-H on the daily: 5 days ago it changed from a downslope and turned up into an upslope and now is just about to cross the center line and turn green.

Novice TA hère, but doesn't the daily chart indicate that we 2 days into a a bull flag breakout? And, wouldn't the chart also put the price target in the $$570 neighborhood?

I don't see a breakout. If bull flags can be reinstated, then we have one (two?), but you need another 10 points to think early breakout signs IMHO.

Holding above the EMA-8 was nice to see. But man, government hoedown could turn into quite the danceoff. Good thing I gave myself until December-ish before I begin my involuntary exit as a market participant. ;D (No need for advice, just kind wishes and maybe prayers. )

Fast Sto dropped a smidge out of overbought territory. Tested and closed above EMA-8, 13, 21. Not sure that's the end of the "testing of support." At the moment, we're smooshing in the 2nd to top quarter of the Bollinger bands. AAPL DAILY CHART:

Neg divergences played out, and we are no longer overbought. Retraced to EMA-13 during regular market hours today; yesterday's AH went to SMA-20. Lower BB hooking. AAPL DAILY CHART:

5-day bearish gulfing candle, post-earnings, new product launch uncertainty.
Like iPhone 5S all over again, but different, and hopefully no stupid air pockets again.

Works now. I couldn't open it on either my Macbook Pro nor my iPad. Thanks.
So, now, about this fractal? I could use some tutelage on that one....
