Fractal means shows similarities in EW pattern / Fibs. So look (out) for potential repeat / completion of the former pattern.

Potential Fractal: I see you imply DOWN. Fractals of wave twos or wave fours?

iPad is TOTALLY implying down. :/
But a repeat of the _air pocket_? Sorry iPad, I'm not seeing that as even close to likely.

Volatility squeeze around the daily SMA-20... Interestingly, Stochastics bounced from overbought to oversold in this narrow range... AAPL DAILY CHART:

Volatility crush STILL in progress. It _could_ be significant though, since I can't remember the last time I saw such a narrow trading range from AAPL. If you try to look at it in a vacuum - slight bias to downside, and that irritating inverted hammer-type candle didn't help. But it's still an inside day and an OpEx day to boot. MACD-h says downtrend, but price action doesn't really. I wish that stupid breakout failure from 538 wasn't there, but that's what we have. Wouldn't be it a real laugh if AAPL stayed "unresolved" for another week? NO IT WOULDN'T! ;D

I agree with Redler so far - the chart is fine until it's not. OTOH, he "glosses over" bearish signs that, if news isn't good enough this week, might influence AAPL's near-term trading. I mean four straight down days recently for one thing.

Well, there's "green day," and there's "retrace up" in the middle of a downwave.

Oscillator has come up out of oversold territory. One of the more sensitive MACD-h (#2) is showing potential "hidden bullish divergence." Teeny tiny smidge of bearish cross with EMA-13 and SMA-20. Bulls need to decisively reclaim that 553-ish level (get above and stay above) to avoid potential retest of SMA-50. AAPL DAILY CHART:

ipad - Could use some clarity around your definition of the "Break the 50 day ma". How long does it have to be below it? 1 minute, 10 minutes, 30 minutes, hour, 2 hours, close below it, etc? And, how large of a magnitude below it does it have to be to be meaningful?
Thanks.

This morning I'm going to be watching to see if the gap down can be closed in the first 90 minutes. The longer SMA-50 can't be reclaimed, the more the evidence sways toward break versus breach.

If we can STAY above, then we'll call that a breach.

Thanks iPad. Not like I'm any good at either, but I'm locked in on the fundamentals right now.
Technicals are turning the corner. Too bad I'm a crap trader, but I should live, provided things go the way I think they NOW will (if we actually are past the bull trap)

Some know FA; some know TA; some know tech. Don't know anyone except YOU who can hold your own in ALL THREE!! <insert beer cheer here>

Sheesh, iPad. Considering MACD-h on the daily chart despite the drop, I'd ALMOST call it "honorary bullish divergence" or whatever.
#OpExdoesntexist
Of course you already know about losing SMA-20/potential SMA-50 retest

Yep. Don't know how to weigh today's data in light of OpEx. Need to see what happens next week.
Last year, I chalked it up to OpEx, and it was just a precursor of more crap to come.
So I am wary. And weary.
Need earnings info, so we can accurately gauge sentiment reaction.
