Out of all the things they are working on....I HOPE AND PRAY someone can figure out exponentially better battery life. It's ridiculous.

iPhone 6 is trending on Twitter. Can't be good for iPhone 5S/C sales. Really hoping for a 4.7" screen...

This happens every year about an earlier than normal iPhone launch...and it's always wrong and never really affects sales

Blurry cam strikes again, courtesy of human-weasel Sonny Dickson. This could herald the debut of liquid metal, if the antenna issues are moot with this material. And I'm with Phoebes -- don't sacrifice battery life for thinness!! My GAWD, it's a piss poor trade off that few would make if given the choice. sonnydickson.com/2014/02/13/could-this-be-apples-next-iphone-the-iphone-6/

Comcast to buy Time Warner in an all stock deal. How will this effect any deal with Apple TV?

I have the 4S still, and you folks know my stance on adopting new Apple tech - I want it yesterday! The size is better, the heavier chassis actually feels nicer in the hand, plus I don't have to put out dozens or hundreds of extra dollars replacing cables, docks, cases and such. The 4S fits nicely in the cup holder of the truck. Try that with a phablet! I'm happy waiting to see what the 6 looks like, with 2nd gen fingerprint chip across the portable line and A8 processor unifying the iOS and MacOS code bases. I think there are many others like me.
I'm about to upgrade my media server 2010 Mac mini with an SSD because the model has a DVD drive and, well, the external drive is just a silly idea. I guess I'm not as trendy as Apple once thought...

I can sure as $#!t tell you I am waiting for the 6, despite having a 3-year-old 4... And the last few iPhone releases, what were the actual surprises? I thought everything leaked out beforehand.

Because of the 150M (or whatever it is) or so people that buy an iPhone every year, I'd say less than 1% of them go to iPhone Rumor sites, and the people that are really crazy about iPhones that go to those sites probably already have a pretty good idea when it's coming anyways. If you have a 3 year old iPhone 4, why not upgrade to the 5S? It's a major upgrade from the 4 and I'm guessing it'd be $100 or so on a contract. I've skipped the S years, since IMHO the major changes are done the other year. I'll be upgrading to the 6 when it comes out as well. I guess if you'd already waiting for 6 months from the 5S release date, you may as well wait 6 more months though. Also, people only "knew" what was coming in the iPhone a month or 6 weeks in advance because the phones were basically built already, and it's impossible to keep tens of millions of built iPhones a secret. How many years have we hear about No Bezel, Liquid Metal, or any of the other crazy rumors. I'm sure I could go back on this forum in the spring last year and find mockups of the 5S that were so far off, but I'm too lazy right now. I'm guessing come July or August we'll have reliable info on what the 6 will look like and it'll probably be released in September again. I'm sure Apple wants to time the release to have full availability for the xmas/chinese new year seasons.

Fun fact: 100% of men will be farsighted by the end of middle age. I'm 46 and it just started. Plus, I have ham hands. Fingers like sausages. I figure I'll hold out for another 6 months. Maybe you are right about the rumor sites, but when iPhone 6 rumors trending on Twitter... What I want for the 6: 4.7" screen, and liquid metal, only because I own shares of LQMT...

Ya, I'd personally love a 4.7"...but I think that's about as large as I'd want. I think people look like fools who talk on 6" Notes. Plus I still want it to fit in my pocket. Does Apple have any partnership with LQMT currently?
