Happy Friday and Happy Valentine's Day to all!
Merrill Lynch this morning had a note on AAPL: We are raising our EPS estimates to reflect the aggressive repurchases.. Maintain Neutral as stock is range bound... F2014-15 EPS go to $42.35-47.58 from $41.91-46.82 vs. Street $42.81-46.24. PT goes to $590 (from $575) on 12x C2015 EPS of $49.15.
Meanwhile, AppleInsider reminds us: Apple distributed another $2.6 billion in dividends to shareholders on Thursday - HOWEVER - the total payout was reduced by millions due to billions of dollars worth of stock buybacks over recent quarters.
Hopefully some of the shareholders have a dividend reinvestment program and use it to buy more AAPL stock. Today is also PIN day - I believe we're looking around $540ish but as always, nothing is guaranteed as we saw last week. As we all try to mastermind price or direction, life happens around us and we can get thrown a surprises / curveballs whatever you choose you fancy to call it.
US futures slightly down ~ European markets slightly up. AAPL is slightly green in PM this morning. Don't forget that Monday is President's Day holiday in the U.S. so markets here are closed which also means that you will probably see light volume today as people attempt to extend their weekend holiday or slip away early.
Good luck to all...but especially to the longs!

Short term overbought everywhere. We need some inside days/consolidation.

I don't follow max pain. I was just trying to confirm that max pain was $532.50 at the start of today.

Looking only at today from the daily chart timeframe - perfectly fine day of rest for AAPL.
Where we go from here, though, I dunno. Three-day weekend PLUS monthly OpEx. My guess is conventional wisdom says don't expect miracles.

Yes, great series of ad :Ds. This started in London at the Summer Olympics. There is another one running here where they ship the fridge to Indonesia where a Canadian is living and his buddies show up along with the fridge and there is hockey on the beach. All good.
