Good morning
Asian markets - very mixed / Euro markets - all green arrows / U.S. Futures - looking green
At 8:30 am we get the Jobless Rate (unemployment rate, non-farm payrolls, hourly wages, etc.) - Non-farm payroll est. 200k - unemployment rate est. 6.6%
At 12:30 am - FWIW Richard Fisher spoke last night - as you know he is a "hawk" - but it looks like he didn't say anything different so it seems like a non-event. (Earlier I had posted that he was speaking at noon today but that was an error on my part - sorry.)
News on AAPL:
- Judge shuts down Apple's motion wrt Samsung making misleading opening statements: appleinsider.com/
- For those who may have missed it, Apple sets WWDC 2014 for June 2 to 6. I remember this Board tried to desperately interpret the hidden meaning behind the shape and colors of the heading of the announcement in hopes of getting some clues about what may or may not be potentially discussed. www.cnet.com/news/apple-sets-wwdc-2014-for-june-2-6/
- The iPhone, specifically, the iPhone 5s has been the top seller at all four major US carriers since its introduction, a trend that continued in March according to figures compiled by Canaccord Genuity analyst T. Michael Walkley. www.macnn.com/#ixzz2xuVbIhjX or similar article from ValueWalk: www.valuewalk.com/2014/04/apple-inc-iphone-5s-still-leads-smartphone-sales-in-u-s/
- Somewhat related on CNET: Microsoft boasts 12M Office for iPad downloads in one week
With AAPL stuck in a range right now as well as lack of news, including lack of FUD (thank goodness), posts have been down on the Board. That being said, our day will come....
patience, Grasshopper, patience.
PIN today ... there is a wall of calls at $540 so doubtful we close above that. In PM AAPL is at $540.11 (+1.32)
Enjoy the day!
