Good morning...actually, GREAT morning Does it really matter what overseas markets are doing this morning? Do we give a crap this morning? We just got dealt a "Get Out of Jail Free Card" and got to "Pass Go and Collect $200" For the record: US futures are up and AAPL is more than just green - it's NEON green! JPM has raised PT from $585 to $623 -- I'm sure others will follow suit later today. If you hear of any, please post. Thanks and enjoy the day!

It does seem strange. A cynic might say that Apple is pandering to the market because there's nothing new until WWDC or later?
Are Tim's RSUs vesting this year?
Anyways ...
Any suggestions on how to get back in?
I have been sitting in the sideline for the last while?
Buy at open? Wait?

Who or what got to Tim Cook? Best public speaking performance in 2 1/2 yrs and demonstrated competence. If I'm dreaming, don't wake me up.

CBS Marketwatch has not one but TWO FUD pieces at the top of their website, arguing that Apple's announcements this morning were smoke and mirrors to distract investors from the 'fundamentals' of an absence of innovation. I'm just completely disgusted at the constant dishonesty, even if I've learnt not to be surprised by it any more. I guess these guys must know people who were betting on disappointing earnings...sheesh.

HERE is the first: www.marketwatch.com/story/apple-lulls-investors-into-a-false-sense-of-security-2014-04-24?dist=beforebellJeffy is a SILLY GOOSE! 1) As explained in the conference call. iPad sales were down 3% when considering channel inventory and new product sales last year. JEFFY got it wrong. 2) Dividends and buybacks are getting expensive? JEFFY is a %$^^ idiot! I say go borrow $100 BILLION @3% interest rate to buy back more stock. YOU don't think Apple will go up over 3% per year? HERE is the second: www.marketwatch.com/story/apple-needs-a-big-new-idea-not-financial-engineering-2014-04-24?dist=beforebellMore of the same.

Why post links to silly article that don't deserve a click? If a person had gone to the home page at that moment, there were TWO FUD stories and 10-20 links to outside websites that had positive stories. Context is everything. Links are ALWAYS appreciated by me.

We should not be sending people blindly to sites who profit from writing bull shit hit pieces about Apple. That is how they get paid. Do you want them to get paid?

would anybody be able to comment on what happens to the options market after a split, especially a big split like this.
I think if I had a 1x Jan15 700 Call at $5 strike , it would turn into 7x Jan15 100 Call, at $.72 strike?? , but I am wondering more about implied volatility, strike price inflation/compression etc.
I've never been through a split since trading options, so for those with any experience or knowledge in this, I am wondering how people tend to play it or what happens to strike prices.

Let's see if this plays out. Close near 570 then go over 570 and then gap up tomorrow over critical 570 level. I've seen this movie before baby. Love it.

Apple has a history of selling off after earnings beats ... it seems that when we used to beat on a regular basis the AH high would fade by close of next day .... not seeing that today and I'm hoping that shorts will give up and cover before the close .... maybe we see a nice pop in a few minutes here.

570 appears in the cards. Man, there has been no spread on that share price today since 9:48 A.M. There appears to be no selloff pending.
With the split, the share count declining (and continuing to decline) June looks pretty good right now...

So, when do they just pull the trigger anyway? Maybe a 24 million share day today.....then tomorrow? With the split, the share count declining (and continuing to decline) June looks pretty good right now...
