Relax...Samsung is perfectly entitled to (try to) compete by making announcements before Apple does. Certainly it's better than having them announce pirated clones of Apple's products after they've been announced.
Anyway Samsung tried this with the Galaxy Gear...that went well for them, didn't it? :-)
The only negative is that the FUDmongers in the press will claim that whatever Apple ultimately announces is 'nothing new' because Samsung had already announced a similar product. Then the Apple product will be a huge success while the Samsung product fails.

I also have no problem with Samsung trying to upstage Apple. Take a few minutes and watch video of their last three events. Clumsy, embarrassing, poorly staged, bad products. They have become something of a "watch just to see what goes wrong" cringe inducing event, and anything good about the product is lost in the mess.
Just makes Apple look better by comparison...WWDC. Could be real fun this year.
Backed into some October 560/700 BCS on yesterday's pullback. (80/100 I should say...)

Great idea, but since this is a Health event, let's have Dr. Phil do it. He can then ask the Samsung President if he has device envy.

Only the news of a jury verdict will evade the clutches of the option tractor beam today.

Would it even do much long-term?
Granted, Apple v. Samsung, Round One decision was in late August 2012, and, well, things were different then.

The first verdict took the stock from 680 to 690. Who knows what this one will do, and I am personally doubting that Apple will score such a resounding win this time...

Am I correct in thinking that Apple is in the process of modifying it's sourcing so as to remove Samesung as a supplier of any of it's component parts? If so, it'll be nice when Apple no longer contributes any $ to SS's revenues and profits.

One thing I like about the Burberry store is the inviting warmth it conveys. As a man (a comedian once said men are "bears with furniture"), I'm fine with the spartan Bauhaus decor of the Apple store. But is it really inviting to the ladies? Interesting how Burberry has plush chairs and loveseats, to entrap tired shoppers. Perhaps Arendts will soften the Apple store with her woman's touch. But, I wonder, do we want teens and bohemians (eww!) sitting around endlessly, wearing berets, not buying anything, like they are in some Parisian coffee house? The current Apple store layout certainly discourages that. Turnover man, turnover. Sales per hour. Perhaps a special VIP room for those luxury items...with bottle service?

We need a bespoke bar, where ladies and gentlemen of means may order customized Apple products with finishes of precious metals and special apps that address their superior needs and are unavailable to the unwashed Apple masses. Don't stop at sapphire glass; get diamond glass crystals for a distinguished iWatch that is commensurate with one's net worth. The bespoke bar would be hidden behind a nondescript door, rather like the airline lounges at the airports, and appropriate refreshments would be available. Invitation would be by iBeacon, and would be offered to those deemed appropriate by clothing recognition scanning. I would never get in.

The bartender in a black turtleneck will serve it in a narrow finely crafted aluminum cylinder with one perfect round globe of clear ice. And it will cost 30% more than the half assed drink served at the newly opened "Samsung Joe's" bar across the street. AND YOU'LL LIKE IT DAMN IT!

Apple gets $119,625,000 in damages, chump change.
