As if on que, rumblings of how AAPL is 'over____' are starting. Fill in the appropriate verb. [That's right out of the BI reporters handbook...] Seriously, consider reducing risk. ...but only yesterday there were headlines like this: Apple takes a $1 trillion time warpand this: Will Apple soon be worth $1 trillion? The sentiment is positive overal. And there is momentum in that sentiment. Its going to take more than a couple of BS BI articles to slow this behemoth down. keep making that money

Jeffries Group ups PT to 120. That sounds like a one week price target (we can hope). If it's Peter Misek with the upgrade, his track record includes being very wrong (as in bullish) about RIMM > BBRY. Or maybe he's concerned about the shooting star candlestick, as referenced in PED's piece today -- stocktwits is probably in a frenzy...

Still tons of chatter about that phantom trade up at the $117 level - throwing day traders off and screwing up charts since it would have indicated a bearish signal. PED has a piece on it today as well: for.tn/1qklR5N

I guess that means you will possibly be out of luck for Christmas? I have spent a lot of time in stores in the past. The January weather conditions in Saint Paul have kept me somewhat homebound in the last week. We will have a warmup into the 30s this weekend. I will report actual iPhone conditions in Minnesota next week. The shortage of the iPhone 6+ seems to be REAL. Tweets about lines of folks waiting for iPhones outside Stores are still out there DAILY.

I'm blown away by the ongoing lines for the iPhone 6. I've been by the Rockaway Apple store here in New Jersey several times in the last two weeks and there is always a line.

I bought shares on the dip. Dividends will buy gas money for my motorized chariot.
LEAP order won't fill unless we see sub $114 today.

BI is quick, as usual, to bring out Apple FUD whenever possible. Now that Apple has released their SDK for the watch, BI put out a hit piece entitled, "This Developer Pointed Out A Major Flaw In The Apple Watch" by some guy named Sam Colt. It's been gratifying to see how quickly the commenters are pushing back. The article was released less than an hour ago and there are already 13 of 13 comments slamming the dishonesty of the article and its author. Love it.
To save anyone from linking, here's the "Major Flaw" FUD.
Apple on Tuesday released WatchKit, the company's software building tool for Apple Watch, and developers have already discovered a flaw in the operating system's design.
" The watch and the phone are constantly talking," an iOS developer who has used WatchKit told Business Insider. "The code actually sits on your phone. Only the [user interface] elements are on the watch."
The Apple Watch will be dependent on your iPhone to run virtually every application.
Your iPhone does all the heavy lifting while your Apple Watch acts like an extra display. <= Shocking, right?
" This will present dev problems," said our source. "This can be overcome, but sharing app state and data will be tricky."
In fact, our source was surprised by how iPhone-centric the Apple Watch's operating system is.
"It's interesting how little the watch does; it seems that it literally does nothing except [user interface] work." <= More shocking info
That doesn't bode well for the Apple Watch.
Apple is known for linking its products together, but the Apple Watch is so dependent on the iPhone to do anything that Apple has effectively added hundreds to the cost of their already pricey smartwatch.
On the other hand, Apple probably expects iPhone owners to be a large chunk of Apple Watch buyers.
But they probably want more than just another display to look at.

Thanks for not linking the BI piece.
It's no surprise the watch will offload tasks to the iPhone. However, it has also been reported that standalone watch apps will also be forthcoming in 2015.

DISASTER: APPLE WATCH TETHERED TO WRIST, REQUIRES IPHONE FOR FULL FUNCTIONALITY
Can't wait to hear what everyone says in...like...June. Heck, it'd be hard to say a puny "low millions" Apple Watch number in 2015 isn't notable.
...how many smartwatches have been sold by anyone else in the comparable period? Any OEM care to share? And why do I hear crickets?

Hey since you're there, might as well copypasta some of the comments.

Henry Blodget is one sleazy dude I agree. There are few people i can think of who match him for a complete lack of morals. It is one thing to intentionally misrepresent things to attract attention, but to make it your business plan, that is a whole new level. Still, It is hard for me to imagine an serious investor not seeing through him. Like Cramer, I think his influence is limited to the fear/greed investor. If he actually has any real effect, it is to create a little volatility so we can make money on options. Perhaps he is offensive to us in the US because, as a country, we do not have a recognized criminal class. With the exception of Congress. (Apologies to Mark Twain)

Apple is the best company in the world, and the stock has momentum. Many in Braeburn scaled out too early. It's quiet over there at the moment, probably because they don't have a seat on the choo choo train.

I'm in January (now deep in the money) Bull Put Spreads and Dec ITM calls. I'm selling weekly premiums just to collect the change. Something high like 119 or 120, a place I wouldn't min taking profits anyway.
And whoa, did you just see that candle? Houston, we have ignition.....

This stock appears to be fighting a battle to go green. No prediction, just an observation.
The lines are still forming at Apple retail for the iPhone 6 -- I don't ever recall such sustained demand in November. It bodes well, as I've not read anything to suggest there's a production issue.
