Let me make a stab at this from a perspective of someone who has years of experience in the give and take of contention, sarcasm and facetiousness found on the best political blogs across the intersphere. I feel imminently qualified to detect these characteristics even when they are only used in the most minimal form (mainly because they are normally directed at me). Mace: For the "FIRST" time agrees with JD's cogent views. JD: (Also a professional political blogger) immediately detects the (however slight) sarcasm/contention/facetiousness and showing that he does not seek Mace's agreement retracts his post so there is nothing for Mace to agree with. Given that I don't know either person I could be dead wrong and it is nothing but the good natured fun and interaction of two longtime posters who are both knowledgable and entertaining when they do post. funny…. I thought Red was playing along too...

I think Red would be somewhat offended by that...if he caught on to your post...

I've lurked around on this board for a couple of years and find it useful and illuminating. Quick question on a slow Sunday. I've been searching online for speculation/discussion about Apple pay and how it might effect the viability of micro payments. I'd be interested in thoughts on the subject. A Google search returned this Stanford University site that gives an overview of micro payments and the difficulty they've had gaining traction. cs.stanford.edu/people/eroberts/cs181/projects/2010-11/MicropaymentsAndTheNet/index.htmlI doubt Apple being involved in micro payments would directly affect the bottom line. But perhaps it could increase the usefulness of the devices.
