...and for everyone else who doesn't live in that part of the world, it's just another day....
But I guess one can be thankful it's just another day....
And for those where it is Thanksgiving day you can also be thankful it's just another day.
Don't forget to baste that bird.....and be nice to one another....

It's not so much what gets said at these meetings but what actually gets done. Saudi's will not want to lose market share here - as far as they are concerned I highly doubt they care about their neighbors and you know they could give a hoot about the Russians or the Venezuelans. This should get interesting. For the immediate gratification crowd however it's more $$$ in the pockets of consumers to buy what else? products, of course! We'll deal with the aftermath of the rest of the economy later.

And a special "thank you" to since84 for opening the thread each day ... can't tell you how much it is appreciated! +1. Since84 stepped up. Thanks. Oil prices going down can't be good for Tesla. Then again, Tesla's valuation is not rational.

Oil prices going down can't be good for Tesla. Then again, Tesla's valuation is not rational. It also causes major pain for OPEC, which is always hilarious. Frack baby, frack! Happy ThanksApple, everybody! (bah humbug, turn those machines back on!).

US shale oil isn't going anywhere. We can wait it out too. Who is hurt more by low oil prices, the US, or OPEC members? WTH else do they have? Low oil prices are actually good for our economy. It's like a tax cut. We have 28 other companies in the Dow besides XOM and CVX.
Just wait until Canadian oil sands crude starts flowing down the Keystone XL next year. Then you'll see those Saudi bastards sweat. Hard to compete with a pipeline. And they can suck it! Looking forward to sub $2 premium for the Vette!

The problem is that our oil sands cost of production is $75 per barrel so don't get too excited. By the way, the Bakin is $61.

Perhaps if we treated those companies delivering US oil reserves - one of our greatest natural strategic advantages - as well as we do Tesla and bird-vaporizing solar-thermal plants, instead of serving them an endless ration of regulatory shit, they could compete with these state-run dickheads in Arabia. Just a thought.
