Good morning everyone. AAPL is RED this morning trading at 113.83 -0.16 (0.14%) at 6:32. Major indices are all RED as well. Expect another unpredictable week with low volumes, illogical moves and other insanity. Take advantage of it in you can, but don't get caught up in it. In the news: Well, I guess if you consider 'The Interview' airing on iTunes and outperforming all prior Sony films news there is news. It actually demonstrates the feasibility of direct to digital distribution and shoul have theater owners quaking. That's all folks. Have a great day. Let's make money.

My 7 year old iMac hard drive died yesterday. Off to look at the 5K 27" this morning to see if it's worth the extra money over the standard one.

"Apple and Apps Dominated Christmas 2014" "It was a banner Christmas for the Apple, the company that started the mobile revolution with the introduction of the first iPhone in 2007. Seven years later, Apple accounted for 51% of the new device activations worldwide Flurry recognized in the week leading up to and including Christmas Day (December 19th - 25th)." "...for every Samsung devices that was activated, Apple activated 2.9 devices. Opted for standard 27" over the 5K. Didn't see a $700 difference with my old eyes. Store update: Wasn't please to have to hunt down an associate for the sale but once I got help the transaction was painless. Still lines in the store for iPhone6. Unreal after being released months ago. About forty people waiting on it. Store was very busy in general. Waiting on 325GB restore now. Thank god for time machine backups.

Watching the price action again today I am convinced we are subject to End of Quarter/Year Portfolio rebalancing and window dressing....
Let the managers have their three day back and forth. 2015 belongs to Apple and, I hope. AAPL.
I note Rob's points above and here is one story I found interesting. I was in a Radio Shack on the day after Christmas buying an HDMI cable. I asked, as I usually do, how business was and what was selling. This was a big Radio Shack store with a good sized footprint and a lot of product. The owner/clerk said it has been a good Christmas season and "anything Apple" had sold really well. I asked what the biggest surprise was for him, and he said "the Beats Headphones. Couldn't keep them in stock...wish he had ordered way, way more".
I'm not a Beats guy but clearly some people are....

LOL @ a Samsung store closing being a "sign of the times." Yeah, those Apple stores are closing all over due to the times. Cheapo Android buyers can't keep Samsung stores open, while Apple makes more $$ per square foot that any retail business due to high-spending customers (except cheap Incorrigible). Speaking of Samsung, I saw a Galaxy Gear yesterday at Best Buy. What a fugly PoS. I got the parents on FiOS this weekend after years of persuasion. I was going to get them an Apple TV for Netflix, but I think that's one too many remotes for my Luddite mom. So I'm going with a Vizio smart TV with a Netflix button on the remote. See how Apple needs to build a TV? They just lost out on my AAPL stockholder parents' living room. Cheers to the longs.

It's not too late to buy your mother some Beats headphones......I am sure she would love the bass response...

Apple isn't in the business of pumping up revenues with minimal profit coming from that revenue. And if that TV made by Apple were 30% more expensive, would you have purchased it? And even if *you* would have purchased it, would enough people out there purchase it to make it worth producing?
