Today is the day. Evil laugh. That you get stopped out? 😜just kidding. But in all seriousness, what are your positions and your stop/profit points?

Today is the day. Evil laugh. That you get stopped out? 😜just kidding. But in all seriousness, what are your positions and your stop/profit points? Holding April 130 puts. Avg price is about 2.5. Apple is now 10 days trading over a rsi 85. New record. Also look at the distance above 200 mda. Also Apple is up 7 weeks in a row. I'm bullish on Apple going to 150 this year but things don't move up in a straight line. Look under the hood. Look at the tick down vs tick up. It's getting pretty thin up here. www.wsj.com/mdc/public/page/2_3022-mflppg-moneyflow.html

Nagrani, can you explain to a barefoot pilgrim like myself why you hold puts instead of selling calls? Wouldn't they work the same? If Apple corrects, wouldn't buying back the calls give you the same profit as exercising the puts?

If you're right about the direction you make a lot more buying puts than selling calls.

I am eyeing those 130 puts for April as well. However I want to buy them in March.
I think we still have room to run in the next 3 weeks. Holding on to stock right now.

You might miss the bus but what do I know. I'm losing on the trade right now. I will make money on this trade I bet and if I make more than 50k - I'll buy all the regulars here a pair of AirPods.

We should hit 130 in the next 2 weeks. There is still money to be made.
I was going to buy the 135 not 130.

In reference to this I'd just like to point out that trying to minimize the spread of fake news is not at all analogous to censorship. We're talking about false, bogus, made-up stories masquerading as real journalism - unfortunately fooling real people, even sometimes people who should certainly know better. I think any reasonable person would agree that this is a problem. Apple should be applauded for being involved in the effort to eradicate this scourge.

Regulars, Are you referring to people who post here often or people who eat a high fiber diet? I might have start doing more of both.

I see fake news as completely false stories, as opposed to stories reported with bias. I can recall a story that was posted via CNN ireporters (or whatever it was called) about 6-7 years ago that stated Steve Jobs was rushed to the hospital. The story ran on the morning of a trading day and quickly wiped a few points off the stock price (I recall somewhat vividly because I was holding quite a few short term calls that got obliterated). Of course, there are always going to be rumors, which is fine as long as they are reported as such. Writing stories that are knowingly false under the pretense that it is actual news is what needs to be stopped.....of course, it'll probably never be completely stopped, but I would hope it could be reduced from today's levels.

Happy Valentine's Day, everyone! As fortunate as I feel about our investment in AAPL, it pales in comparison to the luck it took for my darling wife and I to end up together after being born on opposite coasts. I am thankful for that every single day.
Now, let's see that ATH go to previously unthinkable levels.

Writing stories that are knowingly false under the pretense that it is actual news is what needs to be stopped.....of course, it'll probably never be completely stopped, but I would hope it could be reduced from today's levels. The question is who decides what is 'completely false' and what action does it engender? Should we lock Galileo away? Eliminating 'fake news' tends to focus on perspectives we disagree with. The New York Times ran false articles about Apple (remember Mike Daisey?) and even won a pulitzer for the same. Should the New York Times be labeled as 'fake news'? Excluded from Apple News? Indeed every attempt to filter 'fake news' to date appears more like censorship of unpopular perspectives. Apple was recently accused of this very practice with respect to GAB a 'free speech' alternative to Twitter. As a private company Apple may choose what to stock on its shelves and to do business with whom it chooses. Of course, that leaves one wondering if Apple would stand on the side of the baker? Then again, I believe Apple's attempts to keep 'porn' out are pointless. One can get to porn on an iDevice whether or not Apple 'approves'. It merely flows around Apple -- which is exactly what will happen if Apple tries to eliminate 'fake news'. Indeed, the result will be to make such news more valuable. The Streisand Effect becomes the Milo Effect. Is that what we really want?

Aapl is second on the list for selling on strength.
Would love a quick 3 point drop by Friday.
