Just about every techie is rooting for 100-102 and then they are saying, "buy, buy, buy!" They are hoping for a knee-jerk reaction in AH that will give them the opportunity. Wish I had a crystal ball!

phoebear, I think April earnings will be the "cash update" reference point once again.

Some good rumored China news this morning.... blogs.barrons.com/techtraderdaily/2015/01/27/apple-takes-top-sport-in-china-q4-smartphone-says-canalys/?mod=yahoobarrons&ru=yahooCanalys, The incredible popularity of the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus in China in Q4 2014 has led Apple to take first place in the Chinese smart phone market for the first time by units shipped. This is an amazing result, given that the average selling price of Apple’s handsets is nearly double those of its nearest competitors. While Chinese smart phone vendors are quickly gaining ground internationally, Apple has turned the tables on them in their home market. The company is finally riding the large screen and LTE trends in China, which have been vital to its success, along with a well-timed launch and a clampdown on gray exports of its products out of Hong Kong. The top four vendors in Q4 in China by units shipped were Apple, Xiaomi, Samsung and Huawei, respectively. It won't ever be about absolute share in China/Greater China. It's not the US market and probably never will be. As ever, I'll care more about (iPhone) growth on a YOY basis until management directs Wall Street otherwise.

Some good news from a customer standpoint - iOS and OSX updates are out! Anyone dare to try?? I upgraded my 5s. I have been unable to sync it with iTunes since 8.1.2, but that now works again. It also appears to have resolved some of the WiFi issues, such as flaky connectivity when trying to use the Remote app. YMMV, of course.

If Apple reports sales of 70 (or close to it) million phones, lower iPad sales and good guidance what's the most you think the stock will drop? $8-$10 or more? :-O

It's crazy to me that as bullish everyone is on aapl earnings that it's doubling the nasdaq's losses today on a percentage basis.
I hope we cream em!!

Where is the best place online to see the numbers before the call? Don't they get published about a half hour early?

I sold some Feb 6, 2015 95 puts. If the stock actually gets below 95 and I am assigned, and assuming it all settles on Feb 7, I wonder if the ex-div date will be after that or before that. Any guesses?

Any guesses? I can't sell puts, not enough cash/margin... but did equivalent, sold covered calls vs shares. Reason for hoping for $100 is to long calls(LEAPS 17) and for covered calls to be expired worthless.

Not necessarily at the ideal price, but there is a risk of the stock popping in after-hours and then it would be too late to do it tomorrow.

I just opened my quarterly Apple earning tracking spreadsheet and noticed that I have 2.25 as my estimate (it was entered about 3 months ago after the previous earnings announcement).
