Since we will not be able to top this, Apple is DOOMED I know you said this in jest, but I can't help but wonder a year from now. 80 million iPhones?! Amazing. Mind blowing that growth can continue.

Has any company in history ever earned $18B in one quarter? I believe that is a new corporate record.

Expect BI and other trolls to report "weak" iPad sales.

Forex did hit margins. Otherwise that number of iPhones would have pushed us to 40. Mercel was right on there.

I too am disappointed by the price action. Net increase of 1.5% over yesterday's closing. We should be up at least 5%.

Expect BI and other trolls to report "weak" iPad sales. And q-2-q lower mac sale numbers (higher $$$). Did y'all see the FUD in the 30 minutes before the release? Friggin Marketwatch.

From the Wall Street Journal:
Tim Cook says supply/demand finally came into balance for iPhone this month. (Meaning: they left some iPhone sales on the table.)
iPhone numbers: 818,681 every day of the quarter, 34,177 every hour and 568 every minute. At $687 a pop. Wow.
Also, Apple Pay now accounts for two or every three dollars spent via contactless payments on Visa, Mastercard, Amex
Tim Cook says it expected a huge upgrade cycle, but found that it was more than that -- it got a ton of switchers from Android.

There are rumours that Ming-Chi Kuo is actually Phil Schiller.
He estimated 73 million iPhones.

Don't let the after hours price action worry you. The option players had a 6 buck move priced in...it has to unwind.....

I'm not too worried about the tepid reaction to absolutely blow out #s. Analysts should bump price targets and positive commentary should do the rest. Perhaps the traders are cashing in in the AH?
Anyway, I held and am glad I did so. There were many ways to hurdle $3 a share and it did.
Congrats to the LONGS.
