Good morning everyone. Well, AAPL is nicely GREEN trading at 130.00 +0.51 (0.39%) as of 6:20 while the major indices are all RED. It will be interesting to watch this morning. Will AAPL break out? The big news this morning is Apple spending Billions building European data centers. Stories at AppleInsider, WSJ [$}, Reuters and many others. Have a great day. Let's make money.

I'm expecting some intrepid click-bait writer to put some pieces together from the Apple patent portfolio. - Carbon fiber mold patent, 2011ish - Fuel cell patent, 2012ish - Liquid Metal lock-down, ongoing plus all the existing tech that just needs a programmer with a couple hours. Touch ID to start a car, or gain entry (or just NFC with authenticated Watch), Siri for - um - basically whatever, sapphire glass headlight lenses. (Edit: Totally forgot to include a line about Apple's rolled/smooshed battery technology, but the comment about poaching Samsung battery gurus brought it back to mind. youtu.be/w6lLdFxiZPc ). The CR will have battery cells in every single part of the structure. I'm in camp with the guy who talked this from an economics standpoint. That's the UX that really sucks with cars. Remember how cell phone contracts sucked prior to 2007? Well, they still kinda suck, but Apple changed the equation. Same thing for music purchasing - singles vs albums. They are still trying for movie purchases. Auto purchase and ownership UX really sucks. Apple can think different here. Build something that doesn't rely on the end-user being responsible for everything. Just like a software license, you "buy" the device, but you are buying access to the device and service, not the actual thing. Apple has succeeded where one individual interacts with one device. iPhone, iPod, iPad, Mac. They have stumbled where several individuals must share something: Apple TV, iCloud/Mobile Me/Dot Mac/iTools/eWorld, Apple HiFi, anything Enterprise. The Watch is intensely personal. For most people their car is intensely personal. Apple Win.

The news about a data center in Ireland is interesting. Touting it as their greenest, yet. Last time I was there, it rained 15 out of 18 days! Now maybe if they make everyone blow into a breathalyzer immediately after leaving the pub and feeding that directly into the Apple pipeline and...

Sold a bit @ $130.80. Just a handful that I sold @ $114, bought back @ $105. Will wait for the pullback to the $115 area before buying back again.

A GOOGLE employee has problems with his NEST. "Do NOT buy a +Nest smoke alarm. They false alarm and are unhushable pieces of crap. Please spread the word. Watch this horror video of me trying to quiet mine. You can stop or mute this video if it's annoying, but you cannot stop an actual Nest protect. This went off in my house all day, annoying my neighbors. When I got the Android notification that my house was burning down I immediately assumed it was false, since my Nests had already cried wolf before. I also checked video cameras and saw my house wasn't actually burning down, so I stayed at work. My poor neighbors, though. Disclaimer: I am a Google employee. I paid for these myself. So I speak as myself." plus.google.com/+BradFitzpatrick/posts/bpUvi6BBubmtwitter.com/bradfitzbradfitz.comwww.youtube.com/watch?v=BpsMkLaEiOY

Liquid Metal up 4 cents or 26% today.... ?? Your right. I own it and didn't even notice LOL. It's been dead money for years waiting on Apple to do something significant with it. Edit: One thing I considered r.e. the iCar. Liquidmetal formed body panels. Intriguing.

I understand that the materials include platinum.

Well we are going to hit 132 here shortly. There seems to be plenty of lift and virtually nothing holding us back....for now......All this on a down day for the markets overall and with the uncertainty of the Fed testimony. Very positive.
I'm reflecting on Tim's "don't bet against us" comment from back when many of us were grumpy and cranky about the company's failure to show more...but all that time it was playing the Big Game, preparing to manage a cash return strategy that will make remaining shares every more valuable, preparing for international expansion....

AAPL is green in a sea of ugly red. No offense.

It's impressive what a little car talk can do for AAPL. Tim is waving to Bezos in the rear view mirror, because Amazon doesn't have the cash to keep up with Apple, Inc. Now can we get some real P/E expansion going?
Cheers to the longs!

Anyone know why liquid metal is up so much?!? Probably because I mentioned it in my post this morning. Totally forgot to include a line about Apple's rolled/smooshed battery technology, but the comment about poaching Samsung battery gurus brought it back to mind. Throwback Apple battery introduction video: youtu.be/w6lLdFxiZPcThe CR will have battery cells in every single part of the structure. I'm also looking into purchasing a couple Segways. But I'd rather front cash for the Apple version.
