Great ready for a FUD hurricane about how Apple is shooting itself by removing headphone jacks...

Is it unreasonable to hope for a VR/AR surprise today?

Just as a reminder to everyone, AAPL has sold off hard intraday every single iPhone event. Sometimes it's recovered, sometimes not. Might be a trading opportunity there.

My gut is telling me that we care going to see something cloud related this time around. Maybe they've come up with a nice, transparent, streamlined, system to partially or mostly obviate whether something is stored locally or stored in the iCloud? I mean everything including the very apps that run on your device.
I also wonder if it might include the ability to swap from one device to another completely on-the-fly and transparently ... run an app on your iPad on the bus home from work, arrive home, swap the running of that app to your Apple TV and switch to using the large display, etc.
It also might enable instant and automatic and constant backup so you always have a current "image" residing in the cloud. Device is lost or breaks? Just get another one, turn on, log in, and continue doing exactly what you were doing previously.
Just a guess.

A dramatic improvement to the cloud would be most welcome. I am sick of Siri getting stuck without responding (yes, I am connected to the Internet). It's much worse lately, and even the few things that used to work are now hit or miss.

It's strange that Apple has already tweeted about the iPhone 7 before talking about it on stage.
Edit: Tweet now deleted.

Watch improvements are impressive. I like the focus on fitness rather than fashion. Nike version will be popular imo

Tim said the iPhone 7 is a gorgeous "NEW" design.
Btw, loved the glossy black iPhone 7.

Consider me very pleasantly surprised with both the Watch and the iPhone. I knew after not mentioning the processor at the start that it was going to be something good.

Sad. After an iPhone event and still only one page of comments on the daily thread. I remember when 7-8 pages was typical.
The forum is truly dead.
Edit: Being as it is that I still have an iPhone 4S, I think I'll take the plunge for an iPhone 7 along with an Edition2 Apple Watch. What the hell. We live once.

Information overload - brain just went on tilt... seriously, thought presentation was just ok (more of what is now usual), but device enhancements seem stronger than I was expecting. The low expectations appear to have kept stock price fairly flat. Headphone jack issue seems minor compared to the switch from 30 pin adapter to lightning - perhaps they learned from that, hence the adapter inclusion.

Ever since VXAPL dropped to 20, it has been difficult to make much money in AAPL options. With the option traders off using other stocks, we don't get the movement we used to see. Sort of a circular argument, I know, but still it looks what we got what we wished for. As Teresa James said, "I've heard that God can punish you by answering your prayers".
Maybe things will pick up when the Jan 19 leaps are available

I was hoping the phone would include a better quality bluetooth. With the present bluetooth, there is a real loss in sound cvs a wire.

Pretty impressive event, though I could've done without Sia. No mention of Watch battery life; or did I miss that? A bit disappointed by the AirPod design. Wish they would've chopped off the parts that hang out of your ears.

Wish they would've chopped off the parts that hang out of your ears. Worst yet they are white. White always appear larger and pronounced to the eye. Black would have been better imo and ditto bout Sia, I'm old school from the golden years of music creativity..... the 60's 70's 80's 90's. Like area codes there seems to be a a lack of space in music these days imo.

I give the presenters a C+ at best. I know it's a tough slog but most of them just seemed stiff and scripted, including Tim. The good news is nobody remembers that kind of stuff for long. What remains is the meat of the matter, and on that front I think we had a winner. Both the Watch and the iPhone are getting some fantastic upgrades that will surely resonate with consumers. I was really intrigued by the Airpods - till now I've been turned off by the crappy quality and limited functionality of most Bluetooth options, but it seems like Apple have moved us beyond that era. I'll definitely be jumping from my 6 to the 7 and my wife will get the new Watch (while I get her hand me down).
On another note, I was hoping for some hint of new Macs. Our current offerings are ranging from OK to horrifically stale. I'll give Apple the benefit of assuming we'll have some announcements in that department before long.
Overall quite pleased with today.

One can draw a fairly straight line from Sia back to Kate Bush, which helps me appreciate her a little more. I probably wouldn't listen to her of my own volition though. And I doubt I'm within her primary demographic. Apple needs to stay contemporary, and by that account they had a solid hit.

I assume the new wireless technology is only on the iPhone 7. True?
Any idea if the new technology can broadcast to two earbuds simultaneously, or two headphones?
