Another trading day, all kinds of uncertainty.
Great.
In very early pre-market trading (read: don't take it too seriously at this point), AAPL is trading in the 505 range. At least there's the truth of 2.x million iPhones (Apple to the world: Just try to guess the ".x") sold in China in three days, without China Mobile being an official carrier. Though China Mobile continues to gain iPhone users who somehow live with EDGE data. That takes dedication, I gotta say.

Did not follow the session on Friday and was a little irritated when I saw the 1-minute chart. What's up with those spikes every 10 min between 1:45 and 2:45? Did this really occur?

Hmm pre market buyers responding more to down grade than china news. Interesting... Max put OI at 520 with second most at 500. Guessing max pain is well north 530ish or higher...hopefully some saving grace...

I don't understand why the price is below $500 in the pre-market. How can a stock so fundamentally sound get beaten down so far by technical voodoo. Was 2m phones in China below expectations?

Interestingly despite this constant drop the put/call ratio still shows more call buyers daily than the puts. Therefore one can conclude we hadn't and haven't hit bottom yet. Today the RSI will probably drop below 30. Given institutional block buys are increasing as retail sells are, this is shaping out like the mother of all setups. Ha I just noticed, even CNBCs Jon Forte has come out and stated the bears have this wrong. Going back previous thesis Jon Fortt can't resist being one of the first talking heads to be the contrarian.

actually my first post was way off. Max put at 500. second most at 550. max call 700 then 600. max pain actual 575. Has to be farthest max pain deferential almost ever for apple? If any merit to the theory will surely be a rally of some kind this week...

By the way, bought some June 600 calls this morning. 2 million iPhones sold on a weekend in China is good news.

Business Insider - yes, the rag - carrying a Brian White - Topeka comments this morning...here is a piece of it:
Brian J. White, the famous Apple bull at Topeka securities is sticking with his $1,111 price target, which would be more than a double from here.
He says China is going to be huge, based on this weekend's news that Apple sold 2 million iPhone 5s in its first weekend there.

Like I mentioned yesterday - all the analysts will now come out and cut their PT on AAPL - typical of a bottom - Zerohedge just tweeted this:
The penguins are out in full force: BMO cuts AAPL PT from $730 to $670

If I may speak candidly...? Bounce, f-er! Bounce, bounce, bounce! On bad days (like the past 90) this is what I yell at the cat. He's learned to look at the ticker on TV and knows when to run.

I don't want to see a gap up. I want a gap down that is swiftly reversed and a green close.

Yup, but already MS and Barclays have come out to counter this plus these three cavaliers look like bozos and don't inspire confidence given they put out a buy rating 22 days ago. We may see the 400s and I have come to terms with that after looking over the fundamentals, estimates, price scenarios again (and again). We are good. As with all things their are pluses and minuses. The plus about what is happening and has happened is that at least at this point there isn't a roaring crowd talking earnings estimates we have no hope of meeting. Sounds like a good problem to have now but I hate to go into earnings priced for perfection or beyond perfection.

Whether it launches under water or from a mountain, I don't care. +100. After 90 days, enough already. I have seen or thought I've seen capitulation certainly twice and maybe 4 times. Sadly though I fear a turn around is going to take the calendar (I.e. tax selling over) or a major macro event, the fiscal cliff agreement being the primary one.
