So that was the CM pop we've been waiting for? Under $2. It's not even a confirmed story yet, Mr Nattering Nabob of Negativity. Not a lot of traders at their desks on a Friday PM, either. I think the analysis of just what the addition of CM and DoCoMo will mean hasn't filtered down yet. Katy Huberty had some good estimates out a day or two ago, and the impact would be quite staggering. And then what about Brazil, Argentina, India, etc? One thing traders have learned in the past nine months is that there is "always time to buy Apple". Until we get rolling upward with numbers to match, that perception remains. Then, suddenly, it won't.

Let tarrying pseudo-bulls and panicking shorts fuel the next waves higher. There's plenty of time for them to start buying over 500. ;D

That's my best guess too.

Just my uneducated guess, the price for the iPhone 5C will dictate whether AAPL zooms up or stays near $500.
I believe WS will greatly reward signs of real market share grab and a price between $350 - $400, anything approaching $450 not so much.
My gut tells me Apple will price it closer to $450 though.
Just to be clear, I am not advocating either strategy, I will leave that up to Apple, they seem to have done quite well without consulting me.

I agree, and maybe it's best that the WS tards didn't really pay attention to the CM story until it is announced by Tim Cook. Then it will be splashed all over the place and perhaps cause a big buy-the-news pop, for a change. I think this is what we have been all been waiting for, even if it takes until earnings guidance for the tards to figure it out.

When you stop and think about it, the amount of news indicating the rumors may be real is pretty astounding. But that contrasts with TC's "double down" on security statement. So what gives? Could there be so much to announce Sept 10, that Apple is intentionally "lightening the load", so that more time would be available for more important announcements?
