Quite the week we had last week. I would anticipate a pullback beginning at some point this week back to the low 540s. I'm thinking gap up at the open and then start pulling back. We're overbought, outside the daily and weekly BB, and close to hitting our head on the 465 to 513 trendline.

I don't know about you but for me, the 60 minutes piece where Bezos showed his little drone delivery bots was the moment when Amazon just jumped the shark. Now it's time to start thinking about a short.

I agree with Doc - AMZN Drone Delivery is seen as innovative. WS will love it. Remember that AAPL is currently being thought of as driving volumes but still struggling on proving to WS that they are still innovative until a new category is introduced.

Look at the reception of Google Glass and you'll see how well hovering drones will go over with citizens and cities and counties, not to mention the FAA. Maybe Bezos should just prove he can profitably ship things via ground first. And Fonzie successfully jumped that shark, BTW. Now he's selling reverse mortgages. Good luck this week all. Already over 559 in PM.

State them. I'd love to hear them. Your redneck next door neighbor will use them for target practice . Reason number 1of 50. More to follow Huge size requires mucho additional warehouse space for recharging. These things are larger than the package they deliver.

As much as I would like to agree with most of you about how incredulous, stupid, silly etc. the AMZN story is -- you really need to have an open mind and consider that there are possibilities that may or could exist. Don't take the mentality that there will always be a thriving "buggy whip" business. Lest we forget that SJ gave kudos to the crazy ones!

If Apple had announced the same thing today, we'd be down 50 points, amid stories predicting that the cost of building the drones would eat into margins, along with other stories predicting that drones would kill people and crash into property, causing untold damage and incurring legal liabilities on Apple.
Plus rumor sites would be reporting that Apple is already working on the iDrone mini and iDrone Pro.

MADRID (MarketWatch) -- Apple Inc. AAPL +0.32% could push higher from here, but don't expect shares to hit $1,000, said Jeffrey Gundlach, chief executive officer of DoubleLine Capital, in an interview with Barron's over the weekend. Gundlach said his firm bought Apple at $405 and is still holding it, saying he likes it because it seems to trade like an asset class and very noncorrolated to the S&P 500 SPX -0.02% . He said the company's growth estimates were "grossly overestimated" about a year ago, but it's still a very, very large cash-rich company. "So at about $525, where it traded recently, Apple looks reasonable. I don't think the stock is going to make a lot of money -- it's not going to $1,000 -- but it can grind its way higher." Shares of Apple closed at $556.07 on Friday.
Gotta give him some credit. Remember, he called Apple to go to 430 when it was at 700.

I'm surprised to see so many people pushing back against this .... it's a great idea whose time will come . As Bezos pointed out several times it's a work in progress and I see lots of potential. Now ... AMZN's valuation is another story ... that I don't get at all.

But given that this is what happens and it's impossible to fight it, why try it. At what point do you concede maybe my analysis or system is wrong?

Now ... AMZN's valuation is another story ... that I don't get at all. I just see problems with the concept. Drones, esp. automated ones, would take away jobs from humans and would be widely resented. Drones can't deliver to my front door or porch, and my package, left in plain sight on my front lawn, could be stolen more easily. Drones can't get a signature or confirm someone's home for more expensive packages. Drones probably wouldn't be practical in densely populated urban settings - imagine the first one that hits a wire and crashes, would cause outrage, esp. if someone got hurt. Drones because of their novelty and value would be targets for vandals, thieves and YouTube pranksters. Perhaps drones could work delivering to farms on sunny, less windy days…

Private drones flying in large numbers, armed with cameras, flying onto and landing on private property, while navigating residential obstacles both in the air and on the ground, are more than 4-5 years off, thankfully.
In a perfectly planned utopia it's a fine idea.
