So CNBC brings in Colin Gilles to comment on AAPL - seriously?! Melissa Lee begins by saying, "You missed the 24% run, Colin." He said there is nothing different fundamentally with the stock - he would definitely not chase. Melissa Lee tells him that they have lots going: the buyback, new products, momentum. His response, "Yeah but the June qtr will still be weak. Maps wasn't spoken about in WWDC. Why did they buy Beat? They should have bought Spotify." Melissa asks, "So why not put a "sell" on it?" Doesn't really respond clearly other than that there is still tons of cash flow...... He goes on to point to "growth issues, channel inventory issues, blah, blah, blah...." What a flaming ass! He has NEVER gotten it right. It's infuriating that he stays employed - borderline repulsive. Good to know, that no matter how hard I try to avoid CNBC, I can always get recaps of its braintrust here.

Based on recent trajectory, 1.6% is about in line so one could argue the split had no effect today. Try to curb your enthusiasm.

Well no one said to LISTEN to CNBC but you should HEAR them - especially now. Particularly if you feel that retail will be more involved in the stock. It could present opportunities particularly when CNBC and their guests screw up as they often do! If retail listens and the stock sells off - well, there is great opportunity for those that know better. Just a way of turning lemons (CNBC) into lemonade!

Happy Birthday, Phoebes!
Re CNBC, they showed their acumen this evening with the headline "Huge Volume in Apple." Let's see, looks like a bit over 5% above the 3 month average. Huge, I tell ya, HUGE!!!

Eh, maybe Google Creep™. More ambiguous.
If this is true - well, let's just say Android users know full well what they're getting themselves into. (And why they persist anyway, only the Big Green Bubble Friend in the Sky knows.)

Don't jump into Apple post-split: Pro 2 hrs ago - CNBC.com Apple shares remain cheap, pro says 3 hrs ago - CNBC.comThis is why CNBC has Colin Gilles on: so they can say they're balanced. Two different "pros", two views. You decide. You can just see the producers saying, "We need a useful idiot for the bear case. And David Trainer's not available." Anyway, Happy Birthday, Phoebear! Hope it was spectacular.

Interesting that Apple is looking for a new communications VP who is friendlier and more approachable. This begins to make some sense, with Oppenheimer joining Goldman's Board. Apple seems to know it has an image problem with WS and is taking steps to improve it. All good for AAPL. recode.net/2014/06/09/codered-apple-looks-outside-for-new-comms-vp/

Hey iPad, don't usually see you on Mondays. AAPL's momentum still looks strong as of now. It's like some people don't know it's almost 656.
