How about now that the Big Boys have driven the price down enough, they are getting back in before earnings? Seems risky for the “big boys” given that AAPL tanks hard on bad news - unless they know all the FUD is just that.... Where do you thing the FUD originates?

Options as a Strategic Investment by Lawrence McMillan is a good text book.

Appledoc, you may well be right about Amazon. I just don't get the story and am not comfortable putting any eggs in the Amazon basket.
I will be disappointed if AAPL doesn't get there first, but then again AAPL has always had significant headwinds. Which is why, in my humble opinion, it remains a choice investment. Particularly when I compare the companies.

I was very tempted to add a sarcastic article of my own this morning... AAPL investors should be wary -- it's Spring the birds and the bees flapping their wings could impact air currents and iPhone shipments.
File under you too can be an analyst.

Thank you for the thoughtful post 4appl. Inevitably, the stock is relatively high on dividend payment date, almost as if it is planned. . I don't anticipate this time to be any different. I primarily reinvest at the gap fills, when RSI is sub 40. There are other indicators worth looking at -- so judgment is appropriate. That said this is historically the toughest quarter, price movement wise, to be an AAPL investor. The sun will come out again.

I view todays drop as a gift, a buying opportunity before the May 1 earnings release and the subsequent adjustments in cash return to the shareholders. I'm all in.
Other opinions?

I've just bought a 2018 VW and while the technology is amazing, the controls are very frustating... so many menus, accessible only from a certain button press here or there, or a combination of dial twists there or here... not at all intuitive. I've been reading the (poorly organized and of course, not online or searchable!) printed manual for days and I'm still at a loss how to display some of the information I need. The engineering in the car is beyond reproach but the interface is not friendly. I can see how much benefit Apple can bring to this interface once it takes on the whole car experience. They don't need to manufacture their own cars, imho, but they could bring a whole world of improvement to every car made by supplying the brains between the driver and the vehicle. I have seen the same issue in the Mercedes, Tesla, Toyota, and BMW. If Tesla could get to producing 500k cars a year and lose 60% of its value due to poor execution and lack of capital, then Apple can step in and we will see the next revolution take place. Add Mazda and Subaru to the list.
