Very solid presentation all around. WS is BUYING THE NEWS. Let's hope it continues even "after" the event ends

I'm 50% cash so have lots of dry powder if WS reverts to its tired playbook. I think WS needs a new playbook, but I've been saying that for years.

Wife has been anti watch since the September announcement, but she just stomped her foot during that final video and said "I want one".

Stink bid in for the inevitable big drop at some point during the event. Most likely when pricing is announced. Called it. Did your bid go through?

I was much more impressed by ResearchKit and the new MacBook. I thought they should have shown the pricing of the bands even just on a single slide, as well as confirm or deny the ability to have any band on any watch.

At 1438 EDT, U.S. online store is still down.
Edit: 1445, up again now.

Pricing is fine. WS is dumb as ever or just calling old plays. I'm BTFD.

Exact pricing for those of us not in front of a computer? Sport - $349-399 Steel - $549 - $1099 Edition - "starting at $10,000" 42mm is $50 more than $38mm (except for gold, obviously)

Exact pricing for those of us not in front of a computer? AP reports"The entry-level aluminum model, called Sport, will be aimed at fitness enthusiasts. It will cost $349 for the smaller, 38-millimeter model and $399 for the larger, 42-millimeter model. There will be choices of colors and bands. The stainless steel edition will start at $549 and go up to $1,049 for the smaller model, depending on the selection of watch band. The larger model will range from $599 to $1,099. The Apple Watch Edition — the luxury model with 18-karat gold — will be available in limited quantities at select retail stores, for a price of $10,000."

I was really hoping for at least one big surprise feature on the watch. yep - I agree I thought the Dick Tracy function was a really cool surprise, at least for me, and will be the killer feature of this watch.

Well, I'm getting my retina air even if it's not called that. Agree with those who feel it was the best presentation in years. I'm able to configure and price in the Apple Store but not proceed to purchase. Did I miss something regarding pre-orders? All in all, very well done Apple.

Btw, did I miss them or were there no developer presentations for the watch?

Tim implied that the Edition watch wouldn't be sold in the Apple Store so I'm not sure this is quite accurate.
