O.k.....it just seems that interest by both tech and non-tech public is the highest I can remember. Add in the fashion police and we have a whole new paradigm. How to measure "success" for each group? Will the reviews from each sector differ markedly? A tech review goes for all the internal capabilities of software, the fashion review focuses on the styling...may not even address the tech capabilities in detail.
How weird....

I found this report odd. The Adobe person says her results show an 18% uptake. She then discredits the results as being too high because of question bias. She then randomly picks 10% as the number out of the air. What kind of operation is that?

Four of the top five items on CNBC's 'Top News' are Apple Watch related.

Lots of FUD today as expected. My favorite is a MarketWatch piece I won't link to that says, "Apple Watch could be the must-have gadget — among thieves." Of course it buries the lede in the very last paragraph that thieves will be locked out:
Might as well just tune out all the noise from the experts who've never run so much as a taco stand, and just wait for earnings.
BTW, what's with this late start crap at 10 PST?
BTFD.

The dollar value of the press coverage over the last week, is nothing short of incredible. The sheer genious of Cook, et al, on this rollout is nothing short of miraculous. And now the number of live feeds camped out at the Yerba Buena Center by literally all arms of the press, is just icing on the cake. What other company can stir this much emotional excitement on a product launch day. Unheralded!
While i admit to an utter and total disdain for all things CNBC, they are being quite the benevolent schill on this day, at least in the lead up to the event. It remains to be seen as to how the aftermath will be viewed, i think much is going to be made of the price points. ( read... Aghast at Apple re: pricing )
Fasten your seat belts, and bring your seats back to takeoff position.

My total WAG: we will be stuck in the 120s until summer, followed by another leg up. FUD will be strong until Apple actually reports the first quarter of watch sales in June, when facts will overtake negativity and speculation.

I was thinking that they were not going to breakout the watch sale numbers.

Stink bid in for the inevitable big drop at some point during the event. Most likely when pricing is announced.

Lots of FUD today as expected. My favorite is a MarketWatch piece I won't link to that says, "Apple Watch could be the must-have gadget — among thieves." One of the (admittedly minor) things that has begun to really grate on me is the subtle trivialization by the usual suspects of Apple devices by referring to them as gadgets or gizmos. It just reinforces the notion that Apple has gotten where they are through some insubstantial trickery, rather than by producing amazing products that reflect the very highest standards of design and production.

In two hours both the tech world and the fashion world will be shown how to think different. Then the broader General public will join in.
Can't wait.
I also have a stink bid in...but how stinky is stinky enough? 122? 120? ....or 124?

I agree: most of the public does not understand the aesthetic and engineering choices that go into good design. They see Samsung and all the others blatantly copy what Apple sweated years to create, and think it's easy.

It is 10am. Does your boss know your "work at home day" is going to have a 2 hour post-lunch (east) or pre-lunch (west) coffee break?
