You are ALWAYS bashing apple. You even PM me to sell everything. He's abrasive, that's for sure. But he's not the only one here who thinks you should probably just sell everything and give up on investing and/or trading. You really do need to figure out to keep your emotions in check and look at things objectively. Living in a state of panic half the time is not healthy. Forget for the moment that panic will push you into foolish investment decisions, is the emotional drain worth it? Adam may have put things sarcastically, but his advice was probably actually well-meaning, not just bashing you.

I bite my tongue in 98% of my posts here to accommodate everyone's sensitivities:)

No offense to the person posting about Macs but Mac software is awful. The MBA is great and the MBP works for years but the software is terrible. I don't think it will ever match MSFT but I hope it gets close. Consider the possibility that your problem is not thant Mac is inferior, it is that Mac is not Windows - it's different. You're going to find Mac software is an inferior implementation of Windows software. But to a Mac user, Windows is an inferior implementation of Mac software. To make a fair comparison, you have to accept and engage with the platform in all its oddities and details. One of the problems is that there is huge depth and choice in the ways to do things in OSX, which is largely undocumented. Just one tiny example: you can usually command or right-click the title of a window, and most users don't know that. It's also clear that Apple is herding its users towards an integrated IOS/Mac OSX platform with your stuff held in the cloud, and you have to mentally let go of knowing where it is. I find myself kicking and screaming over this, but I understand why it's happening. There's always terminal.app for old timers like me.

AT: With left index finger hold down the cloverleaf/command key. While holding it down, with right index finger tap the tab key several times. What do you see on the screen? Cool, huh?
Excel was the first program I bought for my brand-new Mac Plus back in 1986. At the time I had to use the two installation floppies to install Excel in RAM every time I used it. (didn't have a hard disk in the Mac).
Excel 2.2 on the Mac became Excel 1.0 on PC's. MSFT deliberately short-changed Excel-on-Mac ever since. And no, it will never match the PC version. For the same reason Maps was never going to have turn-by-turn navigation.

How do I even know what programs are running??? I've had an MBA and MBP for years and still have no clue. Do you use Mission Control? I use it all the time to show everything that is running. SO much better than Windows. I also use Excel on the Mac and am happy with it. It has an extremely complex model of our entire company in it. I know from past posts that you are a power user of Excel, so maybe your needs are different. but for me I am happy with it. Perhaps I'm a moron, but until you mentioned it I had no dea what Mission Control was so I never clicked on it. Now I know. That's the thing I hate about Mac, I have no clue what or where anything is.

Would be even cooler if I had known about that a couple years ago:) it's weird that Mission Control and this little trick showed me a different bunch of programs but this is better than nothing for sure.

Mission Control and Spaces, combined with the Touch Pad are awesome. It makes navigation really fast and simple.
