Often ignored in these cheap iPhone discussions is that some of the sales of the cheap iOS phone would be in lieu of the customer buying the $600 iPhone. A big part of what one gets for $600 is iOS and the App Store. Let's not be giving that away for cheap.

Friday I made a "conservative" trade in AUG Week 4 $470/$475 BCSs @ $.83. At the time AAPL was trading at ~$456.
Two trading days later and AAPL's intraday high is $475.72, with 2.5 hours to go to the Close, and my contracts are trading at $2.86. As good as this trade makes me feel, that feeling is tempered by the losses I've sustained before this "good one".

Can I get a "wheee"? Certainly feels "wheee"able. If we clear 485, I'd be willing to bet next stop is 505. I'd expect us to bounce off 485 once or twice before being able to push though if it happens.
Still.... wheeeee!

I'm reviewing my formulas for errors, but F2014 is shaping up like this.
Just as F2012's great results worked against F2013 compares, F2013 weak results will make F2014 results look terrific. At present I'm modeling F2014 Net Income growth of 35%. I'm using Net Income as the compare because NOBODY knows what AAPL's share count will be.
Assuming my model is close, Investor Sentiment this time next year could be generating an ISM of 16 to 18.

Sweet price action.
Trimmed and trailed the Jan 14s into a Jan 14 butterfly and the Sep calls to October. I'm still on a limb but a bit less so.

crazy how a Tweet can move APPLE that much:
Carl Icahn said 4min ago: "We currently have a large position in APPLE. We believe the company to be extremely undervalued. Spoke to Tim Cook today. More to come."
and then: "Had a nice conversation with Tim Cook today. Discussed my opinion that a larger buyback should be done now. We plan to speak again shortly."

Couldn't stand it. Sold my $470/$475s at $3.42 (gain 307%). That feels so fscking good. Will look to buy them back tomorrow.
