Took the ten minutes to sketch out fiscal Q2. Can Oppenheimer bring himself to guide within a range that includes $50B? Hmm... Napkins must be plentiful in your house. Nah, I use Excel. Saves on paper. Much, much easier to plug in iPhone/iPad wild guesses.

I'm expecting Revenue Guidance range of $49 billion to $52 Billion. Results of $52.8 Billion. What I'm really hoping for is Guidance that exceeds WS consensus. According to Bloomberg, consensus of 38 analysts is $45.7 billion for the March quarter, reported today but exclusive of China Mobile.

I'm just pre-forecasting, but the range of potential scenarios look pretty good as long as WS keeps its expectations in check (not much of an issue as of late). The silver lining of analyst #s getting frothy all of a sudden should be AAPL upside in advance of earnings, though. The consensus rev # for Q2 is bound to creep up, but at $45.6B (I go with Yahoo! Finance just because), so far, so manageable

Why is it big? To keep improving the Maps app?

Uh, OK guys, is it the peyote, or did I sleep through AAPL options going to $2 and $3 strikes?

You mean the $2.50 increments near-the-money? Whoa, I just noticed that too.
Since when was that possible?
(OTOH, apparently even LOL $1.1k GOOG has $2.50-increment strikes near-the-money. ...Why?)
