Hopefully TC speaking doesn't sink the stock anymore...this is gross. There's no growth left unless a new category comes out.

Has a conference call ever resulted in a big positive reversal?

Hopefully TC speaking doesn't sink the stock anymore...this is gross. There's no growth left unless a new category comes out. Which, of course, is what many of us have been saying for months, only to be attacked by those who claimed that there was plenty of growth left in existing products. The law of big numbers has some basis in fact.

Glad I lightened my position a month or so ago. The rest will go soon. I'm done with AAPL. The glory days are long gone. Whatever is in the pipeline (assuming the is one) won't help.

Can't help but HATE this stock's action. I hope this leads to investors siding with Icahn because it seems like buying back a big chunk of the company is the only good thing that Apple can do until those new product categories get introduced.

Last year, the haircut was about 60 points - when it also looked like a no-brainer - and that started our decline down to <400. Hopefully, the 30+ point haircut we just got can be recovered somewhat in after-hours.
Wonder what Icahn's thinking.

iPad ASP down YoY from 467 to 440. I didn't understand why people were interpreting the iPad version breakdown as a reason for an increase in ASP. It was weird how people were posting numbers that didn't support an increase in ASP, yet claiming they did.

Can't help but HATE this stock's action... Yep. I didn't expect a big beat, realistic guidance and all that. But I sure didn't expect this reaction to basically making the numbers. This implies that much of the rest of the world was expecting a big beat, and my question about that would be: WHY???

On the bright side, GM has ticked upwards.

The downgrades that are going to come will begin to make sense now.

PEDs roundup.Looks like the only hope is new products. Who cares how much cash you have unless you do something new and creative with it.

Yep. I have been saying this for 9 months that AAPL is on a TREADMILL they cannot get in front of.
I did sell 300 shares this afternoon at $553.23. Still have 1200 shares to suffer through a little longer. Those are gone as soon as Carl tweets us up a few points. Tim and the gang are white toast. Period.

It's dead. I expect a special dividend aka MSFT to signal the death knell. (As super growth stock)

Tim Cook looks like an idiot for that stupid smile on his face on the news last Friday. He just doesn't get it. Glad I learned my lesson and insured my AAPL holdings with bear Put Spreads.

Probably looking at a few months of decline if this holds at the open tomorrow.

Apple beat on top and bottom line, and the media leads with "weak iPhone sales."
Amazing anyone can call 51 million of anything sold in 90 days "weak."
I don't think Apple should break down sales anymore.
And if someone stabbed Colin Gillis on live TV, I'd spend $59.95 for the PPV broadcast.

For better or worse, Apple's guidance has once more proven credible. For Q214 this unfortunately means only a paltry 0,4B growth YOY if it would hit the top end.

i predict a revenue guidance revision up at some point. i don't understand how they could predict the # when adding such a large new amount of customers. Unless it's completely due to how many they can supply.
So far the call is not quite helping :/

Sold most of my shares today at 552-553. Took a handful into after-hours and just unloaded them at 517. Barring an i-Watch/i-Beacon/Apple TV introduction, you can stick a fork in this pig.
Jason Schwarz mentioned in his note today that if we get the 60-60-30 combo - $60B rev, 60M IPhones, 30M IPads - then it's back to the old AAPL, and we're on the way to 1000. That idea sounded real good, and it was okay to dream for a bit. That's the only reason I kept some shares into AH, on that wing and a prayer. It would have been nice to return to the the 2010 to 2012 era, but that's going to be put on hold (and hopefully only on hold), pending this new product.
This is where you appreciate a guy like SJ, who could meet deadlines by yelling at people. Cook doesn't have that in him, and it's hurting us.

I'm glad I sold covered calls and opened some bear put spreads. Which will mitigate the pain a bit.

The amateurs got lucky with the darts a few years back, and people mistook it for accuracy.

504. Pretty sure we'll dip under 500 at some point tomorrow.
I hope the eps beat was not mainly because of a large buyback last quarter.
